Plus Floyd fights only once a year. He has only a total of 4 fights since when he retired < Pacquiao has a total of 12 fights since he retired, all win by tko, ko or one sided beat down most of all. I'm scratching my head how the hell they justified Floyd should be no. 1 based on these lame shameful 4 fights.

In year 2012, he fought Cotto when obviously he should fought him 5 years early when he was young and in his prime but he faked his retirement instead to duck him.

In year 2011, he sucker puched the great Ortiz to ensure his victory. LMAO p4p worthy win in their opinion.

In year 2010, he fought Mosley when obviously he should fought him 3 years early when he was still young and in his prime but he faked his retirement instead to duck him.

In year 2009, he weight cheated Marquez and didn't try to make weight at all to ensure his victory. What a p4p win in their opinion.

      What a joke!

He is #1 because he beat Bradley and Mayweather is in prison.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 doesn't count because Manny underestimated him and didn't take him seriously. Therefore, he remains at P4P#1 and will continue to do so even after Mayweather picks him to pieces.

          paturds have excuses for everything.

            great points,

he weighed in over the original limit for marquez,

he beat a well-past-his prime shane mosley, and was almost KO'd [whereas pac dominated the same mosley and knocked mosley down for only the 2nd or 3rd time in his career]

he won in very controversial style against a guy who lost to maidana

he also struggled to defeat a well past prime pacquiao leftover in miguel cotto.

and this guy is supposedly #1 p4p?

compare that to what pacquiao has done in the same time frame

pacquiao handily defeated cotto, putting him into retreat mode from round 5 onwards

Convincingly defeated joshua clottey, who fought a close fight with cotto beforehand.

Convincingly defeated margarito who weighed in nearly 20 lbs more than him.

Absolutely toyed with shane mosley, the same mosley who would have ko'd floyd if he had not been saved by the bell

Defeated marquez, in a close but clear victory [i scored it 8-4 pac]. Pac didn't have the physical advantages that floyd had over jmm, but you could tell jmm feared manny's power far more than he did floyd's.

Despite an official loss to bradley, most would agree pacquiao looked the more impressive fighter that night.

That's 5 impressive showings from pacquiao. What has floyd done?

No difference man Manny should not be p4p#1 no way no how

in 2012 manny refused to rematch cotto without a catchweight

in 2011 manny did not fight ortiz when he was the #2 ww insteaded tried to fight a 38 year old lightweight

in 2010 Mosley stalked manny for a fight but was turned down and only got a fight after a lose and a draw

in 2009 floyd dominated the same jmm who 2 years later arguably beat manny

                  Hypocrisy at its finest.

Pacquiao v Marquez- most people came to the conclusion that Marquez beat Pacquiao soundly. You can argue that the fight was close but one was the clear victor. Verdict is the rankings does not change because they're relying on the official result.
