Your idea of pac's team, errrrr bob arum's intentions with the hatton fight are just a tad bit out of touch with reality.

But thats par for the course with you.

        Lets go by Floyds standards.

        "He has losses"
        "Hes been knocked out"
        "He hasn't beat anyone"
        "Nobody knows him"
"He needs to get his PPVs up"

          nobody would hate on it
Martinez is overrated as hell, a win over him would help Floyd
confidence from beating Martinez would get Floyd to fight Pac
he'd be so full of himself he'd finally man up and go for it
get this fight done at JMW, Floyd wins handily

So what's your point that you don't see many Floyd fans pointing out that most every fighter fights guys who have been brutally KO'ed?

On flip side dating back to De La Hoya, every single fighter other than Ortiz was coming off a KO "WHEN" (H. Grant knows what that "when" word means) Floyd fought them.

But what does that matter? Nothing more than WHEN Floyd fought guys who have been brutally KO'ed before.

The fact remains that Hatton had NOT been brutally KO'ed "WHEN" Floyd stepped in the ring with the undefeated JWW Champion Ricky Hatton in the most anticipated fight of that year.

Pac fought a Hatton who had a crack head training him and was coming off a win over Pauli. Who doesn't have a win over the feather fisted boxer? It was a perfect match up for a beaten fighter like Hatton. Hatton knew sure as shyt he couldn't get KO'ed by Pauli. It was a tune up and the most anticipated thing in the Pac vs Hatton garbage fight was Sr and Roach talking shyt.

I dare anyone to go back and read my posts WELL before Pac even agreed to fight Hatton. My stance of Hatton being destroyed, done, and a never has been was and is still the same. I was right. People can't rewrite history. I just called it well before Pac "selected" Hatton who was still dating the ring post Floyd introduced to him. His fans where still homeless and pissed off. H. Grant is probably one of them.

I'm not attacking you, just telling it how it is AND how it was and my posts years ago read the same.

One of them loses but the fans sure don't. All speculation for now.
              Got news for you:

Mayweather is the and has been the greatest of this generation for many years now.

Being the best isn't predicated solely on his undefeated record. Being the best is based on skills, fighting the #1, #2 & #3 ranked fighters CONSISTENTLY THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER, moving up in weight to face new and bigger challenges several times in his career, and most importantly ... LONGEVITY AT THE TOP!

No other fighter competing since Roy Jones was in his prime has accomplished so much. Floyd's a phenom just like his predecessor, and Floyd didn't need to use hype to make his case as the best either.

Most of Floyd's praise as the #1 P4P didn't come from writer awards. It came from his wins over the top champions in the divisions he's competed in. Floyd has been a rising star since 1996, and he's still beating today's up and coming stars.

Now that's longevity. And unlike BHOP who has incredible longevity, Floyd took the big risks in his career at a time when he had EVERYTHING to lose by facing the top competition. BHOP waited until he was too old to have his legacy fall apart by losses this late on. Mayweather took all those same chances that BHOP is taking now since his 18th pro fight!

The quality of Floyd's resume is unquestionably superior to just about anyone other than Roy Jones. And if Floyd knows when to leave the game, he will retire having a greater legacy than Jones.

Did Floyd have more talent or ability than Jones? Absolutely not, but Floyd is technically a better boxer. The two of them would have thrived in any era.

You can't honestly say that about just anyone. Well .... peasants will say it but there won't be any truth to it.

As far as Martinez solidifying any legacy .. that's bull**** my man.

Two fights does not make a legacy unless your legacy is that you won a few and got the fcuk out of dodge while the getting was good. A third noteworthy win against Mayweather isn't going to change that. A win over Mayweather isn't going to bolster Martinez' legacy as much as you might think because Martinez is a bonafide MW. If Chad Dawson beat Sergio Martinez it wouldn't make his legacy any stronger. Same applies to Martinez and Mayweather.

Sure it would be a feather in Martinez' cap, but that's about it. History would show that Floyd lost to a significantly bigger man, and no one would ever fault him for that. A loss is a loss, but would it be make or break legacy fight?

              Not on your life.
