Oscar fight was a little closer just a little

His stamina is a little better to me. Floyd just makes you work in there mentally and physically. Hatton was known for his stamina and by the 9th he was really slowing down too. Its hard to keep up.

Is it still an issue for Miguel? Yes. Because he lets up in points where he should be working. But if you compare this to the Clottey fight for example he had more energy.

Im pretty sure I wasn't the only one.

I scored Floyd/Cotto 10-2 ( Cotto had his moments but Floyd controlled the majority of the fight and landed the cleaner shots)

            Floyd/Oscar I scored 8-4

One thing we learned from both of these fights, If you want to beat Floyd you better have a Great ****in Jab

God people don't know how to score fights.

              Both were around the same. 118-110/117-111 Floyd-Cotto. 116-112/117-111 Floyd-Oscar.

If floyd did that **** people would be going nuts and there would be 12 different threads on it. Double standard. Cotto is a sore loser

This is true, and it usually goes unnoticed.

Anyways, Cotto didn't fade as bad as he usually does. I think by the 10th round, he was emotionally spent. When your target is elusive and doesn't allow you to establish a consistent rhythm, a guy begins to fade mentally. I think Cotto was in tip-top physical form, but he was getting discouraged and that's when he decided to stop throwing and instead became defensive-minded. He only landed about 20% of his shots, so he was missing a lot. Had Cotto done clear damage to Floyd in the middle rounds, I think Cotto would've fed off of that momentum and brought it with him in the championship rounds.

Oscar gave a good account of himself in that fight but I only gave him three rounds. I gave Cotto four but their were few close rounds where you could make a case for either guy.

Cotto is on the down side of his great career and 2. Cotto calls the shots and he isn't picking up camp from Florida and going to Denver or Big Bear so for as long as he continues to fight it'll be an issue for him.
Is that really the only way to fix this? I agree with your 1 but he really did impress me last night. At first when the fight was announced I thought Cotto was gonna be schooled but the more I watched and read the more my opinion changed and expected a competitive fight, hence the bet I made. But he still ended up impressing me.

Oh yea stamina was better. He also did a lot of work early-mid rounds. What if he paces himself a little better?
