Shane and Oscar..hell maybe even Judah hit harder than Cotto in terms of one punch. Ortiz does too...and he was probably bigger than Cotto will come in on fight night. Cotto has punishingly heavy hands though. It sticks to you if he commits. If he can take that right hand from Shane without falling asleep..doubt Cotto has anything that can threaten in terms of a few shots here and there...

well argarito said he hits like a girl. Imo I don't think marg could have taken Oscars shots the same way. cotto is a cleaner boxer however, and honestly have an even better jab.

No. The same way nobody outside of a fanatic thinks Pac beats Floyd (styles make fights) Cotto and Pac at above 150 is about even for me, but I'd personally bet on Pac since he has a mental edge knowing he can put Cotto down..Cotto would fight different because of it. Honestly, there HAS to be a reason for the few pounds. There's clearly something about Cotto that threatens them to the point they'd do that. Any advantage is a good thing so it could just be that mindset, but that one was odd in my opinion.

Lets wait in this fight to happen before we jump to conclusions. Floyd is a heavy favorite....This is almost as unwinnable a fight as Cotto will ever be in. He's live and I'm rootin him on....but I'm not fooling myself. He is not favored to win against Pac even at 150+ and it just makes the fight even for me. Could go either way

I have no dog in the fight(PAC or Cotto). I got a chance to see Cotto in person, even shook his hand and let me tell y'all something, Cotto is a big(or one fat) motherf**ker, he must've been around 180-200lbs when I saw him(an ugly one too, he looks much better on t.v., in person, he really looked like a bulldog with scar tissues).

I'd say it would be a different fight if the two were to meet again, but next time it would be at the 154lb limit. I'd still favor PAC though, but, it would just be a tougher fight for him, but, on the other side of the coin, I think Cotto has a much better shot at beating PAC than last time.

I mean, the Cotto that got his @ss kicked by PAC had alot going against him. He just got the beating of his life(and had turmoil in his camp) and came off a tough fight against Clottey, he had to cut alot of weight and had a pseudo trainer prepare him for the world's P4P best.

For those stating the argument, that no one forced Cotto to sign that contract. That's true, but, PAC was the meal ticket, and in order to get a crack at that golden ticket, you have to make some crazy sacrifices, as in drain yo' @ss for it. Well, y'all get the picture.

On the other side of the coin, I understand PAC's position, he's really a 40lber fighting as a 147lber. But, he also had to make sacrifices if he wanted the big paydays, and Cotto was the only star not named PBF that was available.

Obviously, if Cotto were to beat PBF, then he'll have alot of leverage when it comes to negotiating a rematch against PAC. And, I think a 150lb catch weight would be reasonable,of course, I'd rather see it at 154.
