Cotto's losses were indeed late stoppages but from volume punchers..

Mayweather is not a volume puncher or will he take the risk in volume punching against cotto, if he does he will get caught.

The most obvious pick would be UD. but 9-3, thats too 1 sided...

I would give cotto a much better chance. I find it hard to beleive that Cotto will out think mayweather, but he can out-will him.

To beat mayweather you need to have a few things.... Skill, will, experience and paitence...

Ortiz - Lacked experience and paitence period

Mosley - Lacked will and skill needed to beat Floyd, dude waited on da 1 hitter quitter all night long, never tried to setup anything...

Marquez - Lacked skills needed to beat Floyd, Marquez's game is countering,you cant do that all day against Floyd or he will figure you out.

Hatton - Lacked skill and experience, dude was undefeated in Europe, Europe and US not same level in Boxing. Cant go head first in boxing....

Finally Cotto -

Does he have skills ? I say yes, A boxer-puncher with arguably the best left hook to the body in the game today....Good ring generalship, Works to break down fighters round by round

Does he have paitence ? One of the most paitence fighters today... Works to break down fighters round by round... does not look for the Knock as game plan .....

8oz Gloves: How much of an effect will they have on 5/5?

I've read that Mayweather opted to fight with 8 oz gloves. Obviously, he expects to be able to cut Cotto's face up during the fight, but will it backfire on him?

He's known to have brittle hands and I wonder if he'll be able to go 12 with Cotto if he hurts them early.

Who will benefit most from the glove size?
