He could hurt Mayweather for sure. But everyone said Ortiz had a good shot at knocking him down early and we know how that fight turned out. Cotto just needs to take what Mayweather gives him and not rush himself. It's a 12 round fight. Use the rounds.

I think the thing that I think about is the Cotto that fought Judah and Mosley. Both had clearly faster hand speed and tagged Cotto pretty good but he made adjustments and timed them pretty good. The big thing though is that he would dig vicious combos, he had this confidence that we haven't seen since then. Just a beast back then and that would overcome his technical shortcomings. That's the problem or maybe the intrigue, we haven't seen that version of Cotto since. Could that version show up once again and make it interesting?

Tho i agree that floyd is a better fighter than mosley, the arm reach wont be as big of a problem as people make it out to be. Especially if mayweather is gonna be stationary/trying to walk down cotto.

I can promise you that Cotto will hit him enough to win the fight. There is no need to disrepect a great fighter like Cotto. Mayweather isn't a boxing GOD. He's a product of smart match-making in my eyes. They are both great fighters and this will be an intriguing fight.Freaking Cotto stans.
