I would double that add at least another 35ml easyy....... besides that I believe they would do way more than 16 mil on the gate...

still damn 30 millions is way way to much of what I have expected.... mayweather really wanted to lock the best draw for him besides manny for may 5. manny can pick and fight whoever he wants right now and May vs Cotto will be more lucrative than any other fight right now which at the end is what mayweather wants...

I thought he was going to get from 15 to 18 as much
Cortos gurantee is 15mills us his 35% of everything
He couldnt ende up with more than 30mills depending on the ppv

oh well... Im not into their books so at the end. I can only speculate with the info we are givenn.. so . im not into arguing how much hes making.. and.. Im not even getting a penny... but I do think the fight will generate more than 80 mil easily

88 million total gross....how about the government tax, hbo cut, promotional expenses, etc....

          just not possible....
You are not right. With that little money, there is no way you can pay a fighter $20 to $30 million. That is what Bob Arum has been telling Manny Pacquaio for years as Manny signs that contract guaranteeing him only $6 or $7 million per fight.

The truth is that the PPV numbers should be cut in half because the cable company keeps half ($30 million). However, you have to factor in the site fee provided by the MGM Grand, which will be at least $10 million; the cost of theater seating, which will be around $5 to $10 million more; , the broadcasting fee paid by HBO, which could be between $5 and $10 million;, the sponsorship fees which could be as much as $10 million and the international rights fees which will be around $2 to 3 million and any miscellaneous fees that we dont know about. Add all of these up and it adds up to somewhere around a minimum of $70 million and could be as much as $100 million in profit. Expenses will be $5 to 6 million. I personally doubt Cotto is getting paid as much as this internet report claims, but I would bet that he will walk away with at least $15 to $20 million, which will be at least $10 million more than he would have made in a fight against Manny Pacquaio.

Its only coming from only 1 media.

If that is true, that is great for Cotto but i don't think his getting that much.

I can see Miguel getting 5 million on the purse and a couple more on ppv/backend.

And you know what Pac did to Clottey right? (punching bag)

And how Cotto got the hurt from Pac.. (tazmanian devil)

Just shows you that if Floyd gets a hard fight with Cotto and wins it like how hard Pac had to fight Marquez 3 times means..

                      Styles makes fights..

People although we know Cotto is already left overs still might have it coz of the style match-up.
