am I friends with Brandon? hell yeah he is like fam to me and considering he doesn't have any fam out here I hold that close to me
but
everything I said in there that pertained to how Antillon is really no different AND maybe not as deserving as Rios is valid
don't just spout your typical banter examine the resumes. Antillon's biggest wins are Attah, Harris and ...lol...Bobby Pacquiao. I venture to say APete beats all of those guys fairly easily. Hell Teron would stand a great chance at beating those listed as well
you're asking Rios to do something Antillon didn't have to do, win a title first then fight Soto.
why? I mean if you hate the kid fine but bring the hate out of it and realize you are asking of Rios what's not being asked of Antillon or DeMarco who is the WBC #1 or Sanchez who is the BC #2
again why?
I don't hate Rios, I like him. I just don't think beating Anthony Peterson has you leapfrog all the way to the title.
Rios has to do more.

Rios is ranked #3 by the WBC and is not the mandatory to Soto's WBC title.
If Rios wants to fight Soto, he needs to "earn his stripes" and work his way up the rankings to the #1 status contender, so that he could become Soto's mandatory.
Right now, Rios is WBA #1 ranked to Marquez' WBA title, and thats why Rios fought Anthony Peterson (another boxer that ducked Soto).
But Rios wants to "cut in line" and "take a shortcut" by getting a quick shot at Soto's title, without having fought the top contender in the WBC.
Soto has been playing possum with B and C level boxers so that he can trick JMM, Pac, MAB to feel safe in fighting him, but if Soto fights Rios, soto will have to abandon his "playing possum" plan, and fight in a higher gear, and
Soto will have to show the brutal and vicious side of him when he fights Rios, cause Rios is young, strong, durable.
If Soto shows he true (fierce style) self against Rios when he KO's Rios brutally, all the other big names like JMM, Pac, etc. will be even more scared and make excuses for not fighting Soto.
Rios is in the way right now.
Soto gains NOTHING by KOing a young, inexperienced loud-mouth like Rios.
Soto wont get the big fights if he KO's Rios, cause evert big name will duck him even more.
Its better for Soto to keep fighting C level bums and "struggle" to lure JMM, Pac and others into fighting him.
Rios should really be fighting Miguel Acosta for the WBA title. That way Rios becomes world champion, and then he can fight Soto and/or JMM.
Why should Soto give Rios, whom is #3 ranked by the WBC a shortcut to the title, when Soto himself was denied to fight Pacman,Valero,Marquez for their titles.
Soto had to win the VACATED WBC 130lbs left by scared Pac, cause Pac didnt want to defend it against Soto, even thought Soto was the #1 ranked mandantory contender to Pac's then title.
Soto had to win the VACATED WBC 135lbs left by scared Valero, cause Valero didnt want to defend it against Soto, even thought Soto was the #1 ranked mandantory contender to Valero's then title.
If Rios wants to fight Soto, he needs to earn the right to fight for Soto's title, not take shortcuts.
Rios had an easy fight with an guy named Omri, while Soto fought a tough brawler-Antillon, and Rios doesnt want Soto to take a break.
Rios wanted Soto to fight him 2 months later (in Feb) after Soto just fought this month.
Its funny how Rios had weeks to rest, and wants Soto to fight him soon, knowing that Soto just got done fighting a brawler, while Rios had an easy fight with a feather-fisted boxer.

If Brandon wants to fight Soto, Rios needs to become the mandatory contender, but Rios dont want to go through battles to work his way to the mandatory contender, Rios wants a shorcut.
Rios doesnt want the "wear and tear" that Soto, Barrera, Morales, Marquez all had to go through to earn their shots at the WBC world title.
Rios wants to "cut in line" ahead of deserving contenders like Reyes, DeMarco, etc.
Rios is WBA #1 ranked to Miguel Acosta's title.
Both Rios and Acost are promoted by Arum.
Rios needs to fight Acosta before he has the privelege to fight WBC Lighweight Champion-Humberto Soto.

Rios has fought BUMS throughout his carreer and a coupld of feather-fisted boxers in his last 2 fights.
and already, the 24 year old is whining like a spoiled little kidfor not getting an immediate shot at Soto???
Why cant Rios wait a year????? when he's 25 yrs old!!
Soto has to wait years, before he got shots at world titles and has been ducked by the big names, so why should Soto give a young, hyped-up spoiled loudmouth like Rios a shot, when Rios isnt even the mandatory??
Rios has the door open right now, to fight Acosta for the WBA title.
Rios hasnt earned the right to fight Soto, till he becomes the WBC #1 contender.
Rios needs to "earn his striped", and not "cut in line".

so
show me why
Antonio DeMarco
deserves to be #1
and
Reyes Sanchez
explain to me how he deserves to be ranked #2
if you are sitting there hiding your infatuation object behind rankings at the very least you should be able to justify them

this fight and the proposed rematch?
I mean since we are so high on hiding behind the rankings lets do this
why in the world is Soto fighting the #6 ranked fighter in Antillon?
Soto has been playing possum with B and C level boxers so that he can trick JMM, Pac, MAB to feel safe in fighting him, but if Soto fights Rios, soto will have to abandon his "playing possum" plan, and fight in a higher gear, and
wack
Soto will have to show the brutal and vicious side of him when he fights Rios, cause Rios is young, strong, durable.
Rios is willing to prove he is better why not Soto?
If Soto shows he true (fierce style) self against Rios when he KO's Rios brutally, all the other big names like JMM, Pac, etc. will be even more scared and make excuses for not fighting Soto.

you dont like his mouth fine
then have Soto shut it up by fighting him
Soto wont get the big fights if he KO's Rios, cause evert big name will duck him even more.
I mean since you think Rios isn't ready then knocking him out shouldn't scare anyone off?
cant have it both ways
Its better for Soto to keep fighting C level bums and "struggle" to lure JMM, Pac and others into fighting him.
Rios should really be fighting Miguel Acosta for the WBA title. That way Rios becomes world champion, and then he can fight Soto and/or JMM.
but truth be told he was told that he is fighting Soto next. Now all of a sudden Soto wants to fight the #6 ranked fighter again?
Why should Soto give Rios, whom is #3 ranked by the WBC a shortcut to the title, when Soto himself was denied to fight Pacman,Valero,Marquez for their titles.
you do realize Antillon is ranked #6 right
so um yeah you're dumb
Soto had to win the VACATED WBC 130lbs left by scared Pac, cause Pac didnt want to defend it against Soto, even thought Soto was the #1 ranked mandantory contender to Pac's then title.
Soto had to win the VACATED WBC 135lbs left by scared Valero, cause Valero didnt want to defend it against Soto, even thought Soto was the #1 ranked mandantory contender to Valero's then title.

he just wants him next
Its funny how Rios had weeks to rest, and wants Soto to fight him soon, knowing that Soto just got done fighting a brawler, while Rios had an easy fight with a feather-fisted boxer.
when you actually bring knowledge let me know
yay @ Soto fighting the #6 ranked fighter by the WBC!!!

cmon man debate this dont just say "well he hasnt earned it"
beating Peterson ****s all over anything Antillon DeMarco and Sanchez have doen

I mean I was there when the presser for Dec 4th went off and remember when Rios was slated to be on this card?
yeah Bob Beltran et al all spoke about how Rios would fight the winner
so what changed?
Soto has to wait years, before he got shots at world titles and has been ducked by the big names, so why should Soto give a young, hyped-up spoiled loudmouth like Rios a shot, when Rios isnt even the mandatory??
and like I said a while ago
if Soto was fighting any of the champs or moving up then I could see it
but nope he is fighting a guy he beat who is ranked #6 by the rankings your fighter is hiding behind
Rios has the door open right now, to fight Acosta for the WBA title.
he is just seeing if Soto is going to man up or tuck tail
Rios hasnt earned the right to fight Soto, till he becomes the WBC #1 contender.

Jesus Chavez
David Diaz
all got shots as well? I mean I don't think either one of those guys earned their way to a #1 ranking
I will wait
