pirog was brought in as the opponent. he wasn't supposed to win because he's white and his opponent was black.
True.
And now that Ross Greenburg knows that Pirog is good, he'll never get back on HBO again. Same reason Adamek can't get back on - he was supposed to lose to Arreola.
Same reason Bute, the Klitschkos, etc. can't get back on HBO.
Adamek is fighting lesser opponents like Maddalone because his promoter can't afford to pay better opponents without HBO or Showtime money.
ok i understand that.Does europe not like him either? He could be fighting
in europe,Why is he not fighting?
Last I read, Pirog has his heart set on returning to the US. His promoter Titov can and is willing to get him fights in Russia, but Dmitry is foolishly believing he can make it big in the USA.

True. He should stay busy and forget about HBO and the US.
And it's not Russia or his promoter Titov stopping him, it's Dmitry himself. Pirog is Titov's favorite fighter - he'll set up whatever fights Pirog wants.

Well hbo and showtime schedule is getting full for the first quarter of 2011.
Hopefully he snaps out.
I haven't seen much of that guy. One thing I really noticed is he moves weird in the ring. He'll back straight up, but he'll move his lead foot back first, behind his back foot, and then bring his back foot into the correct position. Sometimes when he's coming forward, he moves his back foot first, but I really noticed it when he was moving backwards to step out of range. Maybe someone with more knowledge could tell me if that's good under any circumstance, but as far as I know that's a really bad thing to do. Against a fighter with good lateral movement, he could get really ****ed up, if they circle on him when he's crossing his feet.
"Its all in the feet"...Roy Jones used to sign autographs that way sometimes...its true..watch a mans feet when boxing him and u can know when to attack him, when to lead, what to move away etc etc...generally feet placement is VERY VERY important...however, some guys like this just make it work for them somehow...I certainly wouldnt advise anyone to copy his footwork though because, really, it iS wrong...
