You can't discredit this win from him, he won a belt at 147 (Collazo - which was close but he did win IMO) before fighting Floyd anyway and Hatton was at his all time high of confidence. He didn't look bad in the previous fights leading up to that fight.

It was a spectacular win. And many fans here and abroad expected Ricky to batter Floyd from pillar to post. Problem is, the way Floyd beat Ricky. Most were in absolute shock at the way Ricky lost. Besides, if Floyd would have refused to fight him, we would have an umpteen amount of threads about Floyd ducking Ricky when Ricky called him out.

its something people need to just accept, its why I avoid almost every discussion involving pac and floyd because some fan boy will come and call me ***** or ******* when I question their so called logic

Now floyds win for me was good, pacs win for me as very good, 140 and 147 is a big difference and hatton would obviously be better against a 140 fighter

I was 130 when i was younger. but if i fight and lose at 147 i can use the excuse well back then i was 130 but my body grew into 147 so i had no choice but to fight here now so this defeat shouldnt matter? If he shouldnt be at 147 then im pretty sure he wouldnt have been there.
Hatton never belonged at 147. Mayweather was already used to 147 and thats that. The win isnt huge. it was just to sell tickets and make money.

Agree on the whole weight thing. Mayweather was clearly bigger and stronger than Hatton. He may have been a 130lber years ago but he isn't anymore. *******s use this same kind of bullsh&t.
