The fighters also need to have an extensive training camp as well and they already have a date set aside for November 13.

All Floyd has to say is the contract is crap or something and they can work out the issues but if he says nothing at all, who is to blame: the guys proceeding with a plan B or the guys not making any attempt to even go with plan A?

Floyd's fault man, plain as day
It usually take more then just 1 week to sign a contract and agree upon the details, even more so when you're dealing with the 2 biggest names in boxing, but how quickly Arum signed the Clottey fight made me wonder if he had any real intentions to make the fight happen in March in the first place. So if it happened again, Id keep wondering. Not to mention that 3 months is more then enough time to promote a fight, even though this fight has been promoted since the first negotiation came and went, this fight is already the biggest fight in the sport and it hasn't even been signed yet.

IMHO even if they had agreed and signed the contract July 1, we'd still have been hearing the same bull****, because it seems like they're just still milking the anticipation, i expect there will be a huge press conference by the middle of the month.

The most important news this week wasn't some proposal that Arum sent Mayweather. It was that Pacquiao's adviser had flown to Puerto Rico to discuss a rematch with Miguel Cotto. I'm hoping I'm wrong but it's hard to ignore the obvious. History is repeating itself. And for those who think a 50/50, 14-day cutoff is fair...just stop it. If Arum thought it was really fair he wouldn't have tried to hide those numbers initially (until someone leaked that the proposal wasn't all it was cracked up to be). Anyway, whether it's Arum or Manny, someone doesn't want this fight to happen. Mayweather has made no overtures about fighting another possible opponent. He's been silent and will remain so as his side tries to make the fight happen. Just like the first time, when they sat at the negotiating table and watched everyone get up and leave. Some things never change, man.
This can NOT be overlooked, but it will be....

So May 1st 2010, Mayweather makes it very clear as to what needs to be agreed too.

Beginning of July Team Pac said they "agreed" to it all and then gave Mayweather a 2 week deadline?

What the hell took Team Pac from May until July to accept the terms that where set forth on May 1st?

What gives Team Pac the right to give only two weeks when they took 2 months to accept all the terms stated by Mayweather on May 1st?

@Coach-Webb.. You have to admit, Mayweather has given mixed signals if he even wants to fight again or if he does, when he will want to? He had a multi-million dollar deal on the table for the ODLH rematch and just walked away from it. If I were a fighter, yes I would want Mayweather (or Pacquiao for that matter) but I wouldn't put my life on hold waiting for them. He sent them the offer, if he signs, GREAT, we all win! If he doesn't sign, then we don't win but Pacquiao still gets a fight in...

He wants to fight Manny. But the MEDIA and Bob Arum has done a WONDERFUL job in making it seem as though he doesn't want to fight Manny. Just like they did with the Shane Mosley fight. And you don't know what the offer entails. Arum can EASILY send him something that he KNOWS Floyd won't accept then blame Floyd for not wanting the fight...like last time. Hello.

@Coach-Webb... don't say 'hello' in that tone and talk down to me. I was just making a blanket statement. Last time Mayweather spoke he said he wanted to take time off, period! You are saying he wants to fight Pacquiao, I haven't never heard him say that since Shane Mosley. He stated that whomever he fights has to bow down to his terms, obviously referring to Pacman. Then he states he wants to take time off. I am not saying he doesn't want to fight Pacquaio or that he is afraid of Pacquaio or anything of the sort! All I am saying is, you can only go by what the man has said. He stated he wanted time off, a year or two to be exact...

Regardless of what side of the fence everyone is on with Pacquiao vs Mayweather, I think everyone should be in agreement that if we want the fight to happen this year an announcement SHOULD be made really soon to get the promotion machine up and running. I can't knock Pac's team for setting up their plan B, but unfortunately for both Mayweather or Pacquiao...the Plan B either way you look at it is a letdown.

How do you know the "tone" in which I said hello? Anyways, you didn't hear him RIGHT after the Shane fight say that no testing, no fight...testing and we have a fight? And the retirement talk has been debunked by his trainer.
