Judging in boxing has always been corrupt. Judges score based on their bias.

Promoters for the A side pay judges and referee salary, travel, lodging, and meals. What sport, baseball, basketball, football, hockey, etc do you see the owner of a team pay the officials? Then people ask why judging in boxing is so corrupt?

In many cases, the Promoter will have a special dinner for the sanctioning body and judges which the Promoter attends. Wine and alcohol are toasted with a wink.

Judging in boxing is such a disgrace. A Promoter will give a judge an upgrade to business class for his/her flights, upgrade them to a suite instead of a standard room,
let them eat steak n lobster instead of a burger n fries. So who do you think these corrupt, biased judges are going to give the benefit of doubt too?

Good read although I believe the later rounds are most of the time judged to suit their personal interests
