I don't know that anyone ever considered Fisher a prospect. He seemed to me to just be a fun guy to watch fight and who would win as long as he was very carefully matched. There's room in boxing for guys like that too , and plenty of money for them if they get the hometown fans behind them , especially in the U.K. where people really go all out in support of their hometown heroes.

Of course for every world elite boxer there's a long list of journeymen. Otherwise everyone would be world class level.
Lastly, your jaw has to be as robust and strong as your punch.

ALL "prospects" have matched fights, this includes most wold champions.

Just keeping with fighters that get found out. Dubois! Looked good and had his head chopped off by Joyce. It does not mean he's a journeyman.

Lastly, Moses Itauma...11 fights and 11 knockouts. As a boxing fan you have to think he may be a prospect. You can't wait until a boxer has atleast 25 fights and has got atleast a European title.

I think it was always pretty obvious that his ceiling was basically being a fun to watch domestic undercard attraction, but it was still very surprising that hes come unstuck against Dave Allen of all people, an assumed past prime one at that. I think most people, myself included, expected him to steamroll Allen very quickly in their first fight.

Itauma is slightly different to Dubois, Dubois wasn't sparring world champions when he was in his mid teens and apparently hold his own.

Itauma's maturation is similar to Mike Tysons if he's the goods he should've been left off the leash already.

But they're holding him back or he's not willing to take the chances for some reason.

Fisher never passed the " eye tests" like Itauma or even Dubois.

David Price was a decent looking prospect until he met someone that could take and give half a punch at least in my mind but yeah Fisher lost at the level i figured he would have
