Is there any pro boxing debut that tops Ngannou beating Fury, or is that now solidified in the history books as the greatest professional boxing debut of all time? The scorecard robbery was predictable, and Ngannou wasn't allowed to fight for the titles because it was his first pro boxing match. But in reality he just beat a decent heavyweight world champ. Most would agree that Fury is probably slightly better than former champs like Bermane Stiverne or Charles Martin. Only politics and procedure prevented Ngannou from being regarded as a heavyweight champ today.

How a man who’s never had a fight could compete neck and neck with the heavyweight champ of the world is hard to understand. Whether Fury trained seriously or not. I can’t understand. And we’re not talking about a great amateur boxer with tons of experience. It’s one of the most impressive things I can remember.

Also, if the judges had given the W to Francis, I think it tops the Tyson-Douglass upset considering Buster was an actual professional boxer while Francis was not.

Most people who box take a few fights but they probably wouldn't need to. I mean bud or inoue could probably do outstandingly well in their debut. But you don't just go straight to champ

is the first time in years fury fought an actual world class athlete, know wilder was quite strong but still had pencil legs and could be pushed around.... as soon as fury couldnt bully someone in the clinch he looked like ****ing trash, same as when wlad came up against fury and found someone he couldnt just jab and grab

Fury is 35. And he's put his body through the ringer over the years. It's very possible that he's just completely shot.

He looked terrible. More flabby than I remember. Slow, poor footwork, no reactions. People wondered whether he hadn't trained for the fight.

But then I went back and looked at the Whyte and Chisora fights. He looked similar. But the level of competition wasn't high.

Then I looked at Wilder 3 and saw the same. Again, it was good enough to beat Wilder, but he looked slower and fatter than he once looked.

It's possible that he actually did train for Ngannou, but it's getting harder and harder for a man who is just past his prime due to the abuse of his body. It's possible that Wilder 2 was the last time Fury was in any kind of shape and that was 3 and a half years ago. He might be well past his prime and nobody noticed for 3 years because he rarely fights.
