        Claiming someone is a pedophile is different. That would fall into the 'slander per se' category. All that person has to do is prove that the statements were made, not that the statements caused any damage (the statements are the damage).

        In this case Pacquiao has to prove that Mayweather said it with malicious intent (actual malice) or with reckless disregard for the truth. That's pretty hard to do. Also, in the U.S. opinion is 100% protected under the 1st *********, so that would be another obstacle.
