I'm starting to go from seeing the merits of various and substantial trainers in all capacities in his team, to thinking it's part of what's taking the sting out of his performances.

The motivation you can get from a trainer whom understands, connects and gives concise advice 121 might actually be what he needs.

    Eye of the tiger.

There's an old saying in boxing that 'a good big un will beat a good little un' it seems Joshua at elite level is not that .....so any trainer has his hands full here!

Hearn always tries to turn everything into a reality TV event.

I'm gonna say what most think . Does not matter who trains you , AJ has proven twice that he hasn't got the heart

Wealth and attention ruined Anthony Joshua he went from a guy happy to go to war to a guy who doesn't want to take any risks and his heart just isn't in it anymore why is his trainer a social media post? priorities are in the wrong place. He'll lose to Uysk again unfortunately s he seems to be in a bit of a mess.

Yes, at this stage of his career 'Joshua really should be able to train himself'.

What makes the difference now, is a trainer that can install passion and inspiration. And Understand when to push or hold back his fighter.

I don't think Joshua needs some source of new information, that he is unaware of.

If Joshua wins this rematch, it won't be because of the new trainer adding something new to his game. It will be down to Joshua realizing his strengths and being himself 'Instead of this intricate boxer who is obsessed with being light' That is not Anthony Joshua, and it is not the style of fighting which has won him the Olympic Gold or got him off the deck to beat Wladimir Kiltschko.

So true. He needs to find a better size, somewhere in the middle most likely... And be more aggressive.

People talk as if Usyk simply beat him down then stopped him... No, Usyk did what Usyk does - outsmarted him, mentally drained him and chipped away over 12 rounds. I'm not talking Usyk down, he's a genius. But rounds 6-7 were a different story, and showed how Joshua might be able to win a fight, it's not ridiculous to say he could.

I just hope he goes with a trainer who has a strategy that plays to Joshua's strengths, not his size...

So he’s going to have about 10 weeks with a new trainer?

not enough time for AJ. He should’ve made his decision right after the fight and been working on things with a new trainer. It’s not like he has a really high boxing IQ where he can adapt things so quickly, He’s been boxing for years and still a stiff predictable robot, a 10 week camp with a new trainer is basically pointless, especially against someone like Usyk.

The truth is, he didn’t make a decision earlier because he doesn’t know whether he’s coming or going. He seems to be all over the place mentally in interviews, contradicting himself about the style he wants to take on and what he has to do.

At this point, it just seems like he’s changing trainer because everyone saying he needs to and is just going to go in there and see what happens.

But regardless of trainers, I think Usyk is simply too
good for him. I picked Usyk to win the first fight because I felt he was too good for him and I think that’s evident now. That’s just the way it goes sometimes.

He's doing exactly what you think he should and you're still frustrated with him
No, I know, I'm saying, who cares about telling anyone. They're making it like a build up to surprise everyone. I don't care if my principle from elementary school was teaching him. Literally don't tell anyone, be as quiet as possible about everything, show up to the fight, and let that be the reveal. Let people think what they want then and there.

I just think trainers get too much credit when a guy is going south and of a sudden we need to reassess the possibilities once he links up with another trainer. It doesn't always mean you can fix something that is literally broken.

Have you won every single competition you have ever entered in your life? Did you pass your driving lessons first time? Did you get a A* on every single exam? Did you ride a bicycle the very first time you sat on one? Did you learn to walk the very first time you stood up? The answer to all of these questions is highly likely to me no.

How come you are not a professional boxer? Not got the heart?

Anthony Joshua has been beaten twice, he as avenged one of those loses and has 24 wins 'Is a two time heavyweight champion, and Olympic Champion'. And to achieve all of this, he would encountered resistance, there would of been times when had to overcome obstacles.

Your statement is very shallow in terms of investigation, and it is not correct 'It is not a conclusive statement'. Because Joshua is still here, and has a rematch coming up.

I don't know what the long term future holds for Joshua, but I am pretty sure he can beat Usyk. I believe he will win the rematch via stoppage. If he gets beat after that, will not be because of his heart 'It will be because, a better fighter has beaten him'.
