    Must be excruciating to do.
Fox will follow suit eventually. It's inevitable. It's gotten to a point where it's become too expensive to make meaningful fights happen.

I'm so disappointed in the sport of boxing right now.....where did we go wrong and when exactly did this change occur? And what can we as fans do to try and fix this mess because boxing may be where the money is but the eyes of the world are not on boxing right now...and for good reason.
nobody will fight each other lol. except (some) of the heavies and a select few others. bunch of bums. boxing is paralysed

I rarely watch boxing nowadays. It has become hard to follow. Full of random fights. Top fighters just snub each other.

I see less folks caring as the perfect opportunity for someone to come in & take over the sport & have seen it for awhile. The smaller boxing gets the more opportunity for someone to swoop in. I'm no entrepreneurial genius, but its beyond obvious that when boxing does things right few things capture an audiences attention like it does. That said if you just have enough money & common sense the move is to buy up the top 3 or 4 promoters &/or their top fighters as they become free of their contracts & make competitive events that folks care about like EVERY OTHER SPORT DOES EXCEPT BOXING. At some point your critical mass of ownership just makes it impossible to compete with you. Probably would have to do this in an intelligent & crafty way to avoid the monopoly issues. But I think thats doable. And boxing will be a huge money making sport day in day out + talked about daily on the sports shows unlike now where it gets a mention once or twice a year when the big fights people actually care about happens. Whoever eventually does this will be printing money left n right & I suppose the best way to do is probably with several "owners" of regions so it makes it less risk to any one investor & it will spread the money further amongst these folks to avoid monopoly bs. I could easily see boxing regions become similar to rich folks buying up football & baseball teams to increase their wealth a billion or two over the next decade or as a fun investment to hold for people who've loved boxing.

Why would a network (who needs content to make money) let a promoter (who needs TV time to attract boxers to make money) let a boxer (who's just trying to be the best they can be to make money) fight off their network?

I agree, and miss the 80s boxers. I miss 15 round fights... I’m just old... I loved watching haggler smash minter and beer bottles were thrown at him . I miss going to fights with my dad....

Not so long ago there were real fans who appreciated skill and ability above all else, not which country the boxer came from or what race he was or how he rated on social media. See the difference to now, it's obvious even here on this forum, anyone who has a keyboard has an opinion, no IQ or maturity required.

Yeah boxing is an absolute joke right now. And it's a shame because we had several years of good fights and new stars emerging now it's stagnant. It's do bad I went back to watching the ufc, where the top guys still fight each other and big fights actually get made. Their is nothing on the current boxing schedule even remotely intriguing.

Yep. With nothing much going on in boxing, Fox would most likely go back to covering UFC again.
