Mayorga's promoter (King) had other plans, like keeping the belt in house. That's how Cory Spinks even got a shot. And like he did with Hopkins at 160 (where King controlled the other fighters and refused to give them a shot at Hops), he kept his big names away from the champ he had no control over. Mayorga, Spinks, Judah...see a pattern? And so Margarito was left to take the fights no one else wanted to; the unknown fighters some good, others not. Cintron, Santos...right up to Williams. That's the way it goes, man.
