    Why the Khan hate?

Why do people hate khan so much? Of course people will say 'because hes a chinny hypejob!' but all fighters have their weaknesses yet theyre still respected (david hayes got a bad chin yet hes adored).

Some people will say 'Because limeys all think hes the next muhammad ali', i know very few Brits who really rate khan, most of them hate him.

Then theres the 'Hes ****y' escuse, how can you say that when he said live on television that hes not ready for marquez and that he deserved a kick up the bum by losing to Prescott.

So give the guy a break, hes 22 for christs sake and done well as a pro so far, lets just see how he does in the big leagues.

People don't like people shortcutting the system, especially when they have already been exposed.

If khan had won the Longsdale belt outright fighting both Murray and Thraxton he would get no heat at all.

The other reason he gets flack ia because of his fights are generally against lower weight opposition and he's blatently avoided all the top UK Lightweights yet all you hear from him is how he's going to win this or that world title.

A lot of tha virulent hatred directed his way is underpinned by the fact that he is a ****** and Pakistani

It really makes me sick to the depths of my stomach that here is a kid who is British and loves being British and has been a strong factor in Britain's resurgence in boxing yet is hated deeply for it. I guarantee you if he was black or white the same wouldn't be said.

It's worse when his own countrymen root against him. Here's the awful thing and just one example; they demand Khan be more patriotic and more vocal about his 'Britishness' yet when he fights Barrera, half of the ****ing fans turn up in sombreros, boo and rally against him.

Talk about double standards and sheer unremitting hypocricy. It's disgusting.

He's been knocked out ONCE against a MASSIVE puncher who is even bigger than Khan and possible several divisions above the division he campaigns at. He's been knocked DOWN several times and come back amazingly well and strongly (don't forget that he SMASHED Limmond's jaw and made a punching bag out of Michael Gomez after getting dropped by them both).

Yes he is a little ****y but I prefer to think of that as confidence. Afterall, he spars with Manny Pacquiao and can hold his own agaisnt the p4p #1 fighter on the planet.

He also isn't afraid to fight anyone, is ambitious and is so dedicated to his career that he uproots from his house, leaves his family and lives a spartan life in California in one of the toughest gyms in the world.

The hatred is unjustifiable in my opinion.

Besides, Roach and Pacquiao rate him extremely highly and they have a more authorative opinion than the rest of us armchair experts.

        Read and comprehend this.

Thaxton and Murray have priced themselves out of Khan fights afew times. Either than or they've not been able to negotiate properly. One or the other. Remember, Thaxton got beaten last time out and he looked like a bag of **** in the process too. What can he offer Khan? Achieve something and then fight Khan.

Khan is on a higher level than these guys now. They missed the boat.

As far shortcuts are concerned, if you go back to fighting at a domestic level after having beat legend Barrera then that is a step back.

Khan brings MASSIVE money to the game, maybe that is a reason why the sanctioning bodies have given him a 'shortcut' to the top. Did you ever factor that in as well?

Boxing is a BUSINESS first and foremost.

Personally it annoys me how he gets all this, ppv fights, world title fights, and he basically swerved any real tough fights to get there and just has relied on his celebrity status and Frank Warrens influence in boxing to get there.

Part of the reason is whining like in post 3.

I know Brits who dislike Haye, Hatton and/or Calzaghe.

I like Khan, but he got a lot of attention despite not fighting anyone impressive, so there was a bit of a backlash.

People have been critical of him recently because he is fighting handpicked opposition. Fighting someone you have labelled 'the worst champion in the world' is deserving of criticism.

Funny how all us racists are massive Hamed fans though yeah..

Utter bollocks sorry, i've never read so much tripe in one sentance.

Presently Thraxton is more highly decorated than Khan, not that it's hard Khan has literaly achived fcuk all so far.

He's okay by me. He's got a big following and most fighters don't get that but hey he was an Olympic star so that's how it goes.
