then fight him at 147 where you would get a ton of credit for beat floyd at 147 which is his best weight now where ar all guessing that floyd can make 140 no matter what his nuthugging fans say he a ww now not a jww

Umm... Juan Manuel Marquez called out Floyd Mayweather, not the other way around. I see why he'd ask for the fight to be at Welterweight.

agreed!!!! If his money throwing ass wants to fight a lightweight than meet him in the middle at jrww!!! To ask a featherweight to come to WW is insane. especially when he just fought at 135. What can you expect from the former P4P king..

it's close, but i think jmm edges cotto... plus jmm is a good tune up fight, while cotto is a legit fight on its own. in other words in the jmm fight the reward is greater than the risk.

It won't happen. At Mayweather's age he is not going to come back from a long lay off and fight at a weight he has not been in years.
then the fight ain't happening and neither will pac/pbf.

marquez needs to counter offer w/ a catchweight at 143 and floyd needs to accept it.

well... maybe jmm should keep floyd's name out of his mouth then.

If Pac can move up and fight Diaz...Oscar...then Hatton....

Then Im sure a "great" fighter like JMM should have no problems moving up to 147 to fight Floyd.

              Another poster mentioned this....

When Hopkins called out Adamek....did you expect the fight to be at 175 pounds??

              Didnt think so.

Just because Pac moved up the way he did doesn't mean every other great fighter behind him will as well and or perform as well. It would make sense for JMM at his age to have issues fighting and competing at a high level 2 weight divisions higher than he's ever fought in. That's what separates Pac from many other fighters.

I think the JMM vs Floyd is a pipe dream started by JMM who just wanted to be heard (like many other fighters looking for big fights).

Anyone who wants to fight Floyd will have to do it at 147, and i think Pac (be it he wins against Hatton) will fight him at that weight too.

                  I mean and Floyds right....

Oscar made him move up to 154 pounds....

                  Floyds just playing his role.

If you want to fight him it will be at 147 pounds...

                  JMM calls Mayweather.
                  Mayweather answers....Hello.
                  JMM.....I want to fight.
                  Mayweather really??..sure when?
                  JMM...Hangs up.

You see if Cotto would pull some **** like this, everybody would've been calling him soft and scared but since it's Mayweather, nobody can say such a thing. 1 thing you can't deny, Cotto doesn't duck nobody and doesn't create his own match ups. It's all about match ups, I think he has a chance to lose if he fights a real 147 pounder and that's why he wants the little guys to balloon 10 to 15 pounds. Nothing new, typical Mayweather.

According to several articles, Floyd is interested in the matchup, and has demanded that it take place at 147 if were to happen at all.

Mayweather is a welterweight. So why would he not want the fight at 147? And before you mention that Marquez is not a welterweight, then he shouldn't challege weltweights and expect them to fight them at 140 for his benefit. No matter how you try to spin this, Mayweather is not the bad guy in this situation. Your bias is ridiculous.

Do u really think that Marquez's intentions were to go all the way up to WW to face Floyd when he called him out? No.

Who gives a **** what his intentions were. If he didn't want to fight Mayweather at 147 he should have kept his name out of his mouth.

In boxing there's this thing called "negotiating". That's when 2 fighters get together and work out a deal (just in case u didnt know)

There's also something called common sense. Something you've never had. You don't call out the guy who draws more money, make unreasonabe demands, and expect it to work out. Mayweather is not a junior weltweight and has not been in yours. Your bias is truly ignorant.

. Marquez is willing to go up to 140.
If Floyd remains stubborn, then i guess this fight wont happen.

I personally don't care whether it happens or not. Mayweather certainly doesn't need Marquez. And it's funny how you call Mayweather "stubborn" but Marquez and Golden boy are "negotiators" in your eyes. Biased much?

Marquez has plenty of other options.
Where are all of these "options"? Eric Morales lol? Pacquiao has no interest in fighting Marquez again so his big money "options" are limited. Mayweather has far more options than Marquez and Mayweather is the draw. Try to remember that next time you start another one of your ridiculously biased post
