But this is the problem for Ricky. He will have trouble disrupting Pacquiao's rhythm because it is unorthodox and syncopated. It is NOT a predictable rhythm, so how do you break that up?

I think you underestimate Manny's inside game, actually. He can be GREAT on the inside, timing his opponent beautifully and countering with sweet punches. I've often been very impressed by how he can get out of a tricky situation. Watch hm in sparring, for example. The way he gets out of corners and the sparring partner ends up in in the corner instead... the guy is very smart.

I don't like this idea that once Pacquiao has someone in his face he is gonna crumble and not know how to deal with it.

Pacquiao loves to brawl and can apply just as much pressure as Ricky. The best thing Manny can do is hit Hatton hard very early on. He needs to gain Ricky's respect from the very first round. This will make Ricky slightly more apprehensive and make him think twice about trying to walk him down like he did with PM. Malignaggi couldnt hurt him, so nothing he did was effective. Someone such as Urango who hits harder gained Hatton's respect and forced him to clinch often which broke up the action. Urango just didn't have the skills to capitalize on the situation though.

I doubt Many is worried about what Hatton brings, to be honest. he knows Ricky will rush him and be in his face applying pressure. No doubt Manny and Roach have come up with the best strategy to counter Hatton's style.
i'm sure floyd, sr. has a few tricks in his gameplan....but look at the guy who beat him as well, morales....morales was the last guy who really put pressure on him, morales was in his face a majority of the night in the first fight as well, timing to manny is so important, and morales was able to disrupt it.....i give u 100% that manny is no paulie, but paulie try to be slick coming in and hatton would catch him, marquez exposed that manny is off balance a lot when he throws the power left, hatton can exploit this, similar like malginaggi....and paulie was getting clubbed by jabs from hatton, something i think hatton will continue to develop...morales victory was setup by a good jab that night

Morales is infinitely more skilled than Hatton. It was a close fight anyway, 115-113. Not exactly a landslide for Morales.

I disagree that timing is crucial to Manny. He usually sets the pace at which the fight is fought at. Timing is crucial for the counter-puncher.

Again, using Malignaggi as any kind of gauge seems completely wrong to me. That fight is not a good indicator of where Hatton's at right now because he was able to do anything he wanted without fear of being hurt.

I think Diaz and Delahoya tried to pressure him as well.Morales was the last one to do it effectively though.
Arent you contradicting yourself? Morales applied effective pressure and box too when need be, I doubt Ricky can duplicate that performance, as he said it will be "attack, attack, attack" which i think is the best strategy for him.
The second point is Pacquiao isnt exactly the Pacquiao from Morales 1 fight.
He has always proven to have improved leaps and bounds after that(except maybe against JMM which is the Anti-Pac), Hatton may have improved his skills against paulie who knows..................maybe he will surprise us with his boxing ..but i doubt it though.

true about morales arsenal...also too remember some say that the 115-113 score was not as close as it may seem, because morales was an idiot and tyed to get himself ko'd by switching southpaw...moron....and all 3 judges gave the 12th to pac......and about pacs inside game, yea i'm sure its underestimated, but i saw in his last few fights when u do try to come in like barrera did in the rematch he pushes the guy off and did it with marquez as well....so either he doesnt like it, or he prefers just space...something i dont see him getting with ricky....ricky wants pac on the ropes....in round 7 of the first morales fight, pac was wobbled the worst against the ropes....i'm sure hatton knows this.

to think that floyd mayweather sr and some of hattion fans actually think hatton has a better timing than pacquiao is laughable. pacquiao has better speed and timing than ricky hatton, he can in-fight and out-fight better. hattons out-fight is non existant, watch the mayweather match, whenever he tried to box pbf on the outside, he gets cap like mad

Ahhh, J.B. my man, we can go back and forward all day on this.

My counter argument is I'm sure Pacquiao knows that Hatton is quite susceptible to being knocked out from a well-timed shot to the chin.

We're probably over-analyzing this. It does make for good conversation, don't get me wrong, but we're still quite far away from the actual fight date. It's safe to say, though, that each fighter has studied their opponent's weaknesses and plans to exploit them to the fullest. Whether or not they are successful remains to be seen, so we'll just have to stew on it and let them fight it out. Fact is, both are dangerous, both can win, neither man should be counted out, and whoever wins deserves the credit they will be due.

Saying that.. watch it be a draw.
