Then there was his total betrayal of MAB. After being asked who he's rooting for in the MAB Vs Khan fight he says "I'm sitting on the fence with this one"

because you tool he didnlt want to not look like he was behind young british talent

Oh then there's the fact he held out for 50-50 against Pac the P4P champion? UHM on what grounds does Hatton think he deserves 50-50 against the P4P champ and multiple weight division champion who beat ATGs ? "

are you think as pig sh**!!! he the undeated champ at 140 so therefor he's bringing just as much if not more to the table. and then there's ticket and PPv sales which aaprt from you ya numpty, most UK boxing fans will watch.

I suggest you pull your head out of your ass and take up ballet dancing!!

Wow, people still believe Floyd beat Hatton because of the ref? This is boxing not wrestling. A break should be called as soon as someone ties up if they are not doing anything meaningful. And Floyds skills and that left hook is really what beat Hatton.

Then there was his total betrayal of MAB. After being asked who he's rooting for in the MAB Vs Khan fight he says "I'm sitting on the fence with this one" ARE YOU SERIOUS? MAB came into the ring with Hatton and cheered for Hatton against a fellow Mexican, Barrera showed great loyalty to Hatton with all the respect and friendship he showed him and when Barrera goes to Great Britain Hatton didn't even enter the ring for him? Hatton sided with an overrated ******* multi-cultural hype-hero image who he hardly even knows over Barrera the man who was on his side in a country foreign to Hatton over a fellow Mexican and Hatton does that? Oh then there's the fact he held out for 50-50 against Pac the P4P champion? UHM on what grounds does Hatton think he deserves 50-50 against the P4P champ and multiple weight division champion who beat ATGs ? "I BEAT MALIGNAGGI ;DDDD" **** off you greedy fat **** he pretty much uses his whole British fan base to negotiate deals and earn more money and the Brits fall for it? How can Brits seriously support somone like that? Yet we turn around and ****talk people like Carl Froch who are taking big risks to prove somthing to the boxing world? Wow.

The best parts yet to come though, Hatton trys to compare himself to Roberto Duran (HAHAHAHA) yet he apparently can't even go up 7 lbs without being made to look like a fool? "I'M UNBEATEN AT 140!" LOL SO? Who have you fought @ 140 that makes you think you're the best at 140? Kosta Tszyu? (LOL, over the hill and argueably winning until he quit for some reason) Uhhhh an old Castillo? Malinaggi? ROFL yeah you definatly proved you're the best @ 140. Oh wait you haven't beaten Kendall Holt or Timothy Bradley? and ducked Junior Whitter like the plague.

Sorry for the rant but honestly after seeing non-stop Hatton on my T.V (born and raised in England so I'm subjected to such bull**** if I want to see anything to do with Boxing on our T.V) about how great he is and how he made us proud by losing to Floyd I'm just sick of the guy. Brits wake up, Hatton is a **** he's bad for boxing. His brother's a prick aswell.

        /End rant.
You are an utter wanker and Heath Ledger was overrated as the Joker.

well basically this thread is just an individual's opinion about Ricky Hatton.
I respect the author of this thread's opinion.

Some people hate Hatton because they say he is overrated, he's not a skilled boxer, he is flawed, he keeps bitching about the loss to PBF, claiming the P4P#1 title after beating Pac, he's often not in shape, drinks a lot... well there's almost everything for everyday in this forum that we encounter these reasons why people hate Hatton, and oh...in this thread I also read about not being loyal.

but then again I give much respect to Hatton as a boxer, he chose to be in this sport rather that being in football, rugby, or even cricket.

I love boxing... Hatton loves boxing... and I would assume all of us here loves boxing... so why all the hate?

Nah man, Hatton does overdo the whole man of the people thing, but he's making these big fights happen, against prime legends, no excuses anymore. Which is good to see in the sport of boxing.

                  1) Ricky bought his first house in virtually the next street to his family home.
Whilst I'm not saying the area is like Iraq or anything he could easilly
relocate to somewhere alot more fashionable.
                  2) He drink's in the same pub he grow up in, socialising with the same people
                  equally.
                  3) He still plays darts for the local team.
                  4) If you know the history of Hatton then you would know about the young
lad with the terminal illness who he treats as if he's his own son.
                  5) He pay's to take his mates over to Spain on holiday every year

The list is endless, and again I feel ridiclous pointing this out, but this really is a ****** thread started by an idiot.

                  Of coarse its my opinion

Hatton is down to earth. He is NO man of the people though. There is a big difference. His personality infront of television cameras is just contrived to garner a bigger fan base. That is why he trys to reiterate in EVERY interview, that he is a man of people.

Like i said though, there are people who actually buy it in to it

Well said. I'm not a massive hatton fan but there's a ton of boxers out there who could have a hate thread made for them ahead of him.

I don't get this whole 'He's ducking Junior Witter' crap either. What's the current definition of ducking? Scared to fight him? He fights the best boxer on the planet at a weight above his weightclass in 2007 and is now on his way to fight pacman, the current number 1 P4P. But apparently he's afraid to fight Junior Witter?

This thread is harsh and I don't agree with you.

But everyone's entitled to their opinion.
