Why do Mayweather fans call Margarito a bum but praise Floyd's win against Baldo??

    Why do Mayweather fans call Margarito a bum but praise Floyd's win against Baldo??

    This is a serious question.. Ok, I see a lot of Mayweather fans who like to bring up Margarito's losses. They call him a bum for having lost 5 times. Then when speaking on Baldomir.. they speak of him as if he was one of the greatest welterweight champions to ever live! OK, but if you apply the same logic used for Margarito to Baldomir.. Baldomir is an even bigger bum because he had more losses in his career when he fought Mayweather then Margarito does now.

    Margarito would have dominated Gatti and Zab Judah worst then Baldo did.
    When it really comes down to it Margarito>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Baldomir.
    Margarito is a better fighter.. If you think otherwise then you must be smokin something.

    You put these two in against each other and Margarito wins a UD.

    So why is it that they call Margo a bum but Baldo is this great champion?

    People say Mayweather fights guys bigger with him. Other than DLH all the fighters he fought were his size or shorter

      im a floyd fan and i never call marg a bum, hes a pretty damn good fighter

      baldomir was a decent fighter as well......but i think he is still better than marg in regards to accomplishments/resume at this point in time.....

        Margarito's win over Cotto tops anything Baldomir has ever done.

          look at the weight, the broadness of the shoulders/back, the thickness of the arms, the thickness of the legs.....size of the chest etc


          mayweather was a tall and solid 130/135 at 5''8, he had long arms too...

          but as he moved up to light welter/welter he was still a comparable height to most of those guys but as for the attributes i mentioned above (weight, chest, arms, back, shoulders...) he was the much smaller man...


          eg: at the baldomir fight, baldomir weighed in at 147, floyd at 146. but then at fight time, floyd weighed 147, and baldomir weighed 163....

          thats 16 pounds difference, quite a bit of weight to give away in the ring...


          and against oscar, at tnhe weigh in he was 150, oscar 154, then at fight night oscar came in at somethign like 163-65, floyd weighed the same as his weigh in weight

            Fellas, Roy-Joe C for the LHW title is on tonite. We need to get over this bull****. When PBF nuthuggers start their bull****, say whatever you gotta say to put em in their place and move on. Marg's the man at WW right now, PBF stans can't stand it, and they'll always say **** to block Marg's shine despite the fact that their hero refused to face him. It's nothin new. Forget about retired fighters and focus on the good **** boxing's got to offer.

              That's bull**** that he is too small to compete in the welter division. Just excuses.
              The man in your avy was 5'7'' (shorter then Mayweather) and smaller then him too.. He went all the way up to S. Middleweight.

                True Duran is a little guy...but dude was STRONG...and in my opinion, is the greatest defensive fighter in the inside.
