    Was Either Stoppage Premature?

I'm posting in here as there's several posters I respect here whilst there's several hundred I don't on the main page.

I watched the full Rios - Alvarado fight & the last round of the Donaire bout.

THIS MEANS i DON'T HAVE A COMPLETE VIEW.

So I am asking you. Were either fights a premature stoppage. I do not have a problem with the Rios win, especially given how he hurt Alvarado late in the 6th. I also would not have had a problem with the fight going on. But two more hard unanswered punches would have been enough!

But the Donaire win did seem a tad early (I did not see the previous round). I like Donaire so this ain't a dig thread. Nishioka got up, the ref let him go on, the one innocuous body blow & it's over. Was Nishioka in serious trouble in the previous round? If not then stopping a respected Champion who's last lost was almost nine years ago & last - & only stoppage - was NEARLY EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO - does seem a little early.

But I would like to hear the thoughts of intelligent fans. Did I miss something?

    Great night of boxing though.

    Rios-Alvarado was a good stoppage.

    Donaire-Noshida stoppage was premature.

      Yup.

The Donaire-Nishioka stoppage looked ridiculous imo but maybe his corner saw something funny in his legs that we couldn't see on camera.

Superb night of boxing. Price-Harrison was kinda fun in a weird way, DeGale-TheOtherDude was an interesting fight, and then the stuff in America was great too.
