Finally watched the complete Hatton Vs Tszyu for the 1st time..

and I finally understand why a lot of the Brits got so upset with some of the opinions on the forum. People saying the fight was fixed, the ref was biased, Ricky was a dirty fighter or that it would have been a different result in the states etc. were just completely biased opinions in my view and they must have been watching a different fight or just talking from emotion and not common sense...

    1) It wasn't a particularily dirty fight.. Hatton fought with a swarming style and there was some roughhousing but only that..

    2) It wasn't a very pretty 'boxing match' but was a compelling 'fight'

    3) The ref wasn't as bad as everyone said.. He allowed the punching to carry on inside but I've seen much worse holding and hitting etc. Maybe not breaking as much as he could of which favoured Ricky but I thought he was pretty fair and warned both fighters for low blows/hitting behind the head.. Those people say he was biased because he was british and in britain are just talking nonsense. There are 1000 better examples of biased referring.. Richard Steele anyone?

    4) The low blow on Zoo which floored him was pretty low but it wasn't straight on the plums and was in retaliation to a couple of low blows on Hatton.. They were both hitting low but it wasn't Golota Vs Bowe!

    5) Surprising that Zoo didn't finish the fight but his corner seemed to have his best interests at heart.. His face was pretty ****ed up (and we now know he had a broken jaw at the time!) I don't think it takes away from his legacy at all

    6) That 'talking to crowd' thing at the end was cheesy as you like! It ain't WWF guys!

Sorry to bring up an old topic but wanted to make an informed statement after downloading the whole thing..

Finally, I'm not sure Ricky can beat PBF but if he's all over him like in the Tszyu fight he's gonna give him the test of his career...

Providing Ricky doesn't get cut and the fight gets stopped that's gonna be the fight of the year whenever it happens...

I don't know about all of that, but i know Hatton couldn't beat any of the elite American fighters tho..

that style can be sucessful, it all depends on the fighter.
jake lamotta fought the same way and got away with it cuz
        his face was cement.
joe frazier and hagler (tho both more skilled than hatton)
fought similar styles (willing to get 3 to give you 1) as
        well.

so, if he can take a ton of pounding and stick to his swarming style,
he can be sucessful against anyone.
he may lose on points here and there, but if he's got the balls
and chin to stick with the style he's got, he could give a ton of guys problems.

Question .... will he attract a following fans outside of Manchester, fighting this style? Sure he can beat some guys, but I think his style is "ugly", although effective.

Before the fight Tszyu was known as the best at the weight after blowing away Mitchell and Judah without breaking a sweat, Hatton is naturally bigger than Mayweather and any of the other elite Americans - he is around 3 stone over fight weight between bouts.
All the latest reports are saying that Mayweather is trying to organise a fight with Winky Wright so he cannot be confident about beating Hatton. Mayweather is a great fighter but I think Hatton would take him all the way.

Hatton will bring a huge following of fans from the UK to any venue in the world, England fans love boxing and would love to follow their hero to the likes of New York, Vegas etc..

Hatton Is Too Tougth For The Skillfull American Boxers At Present, I Also Think He Has A Lot Of Heart And Will Never Give Up, Hes Young And Got So Much Desire, I Think People Are Forgetting Aswell Hatton Can Box If He Needs To Which Hes Proved In Some Previous Fights, Yea Hes A Natural Maller Whos Always Coming Forward But He Has Other Strings To His Bow Aswell.hes So Powerful For His Weight, Hes Got A Decent Chin Is Quick, Sharp, Fit And Aggressive And Beats Everyone Quite Convincingly Who Steps In The Ring With Him.tszyu Was Supposed To Be A Good Fighter And A Test For Hatton And Look What Happened, Regardless Of Opinions On Hattons Style He Won Comfortably In The End Forcing Tszyu And His Team To Give Up Early Relativly Early In The Fight.its ****** To Rubbish A Fighter When Hes Not Lost, Hes Going Places And Thats What Some People Fere.
