- -To follow in the vein of those before me , just how good was Hurricane McNeely?

Had the heritage as son of a title contender, and when he stepped up his comp, he bulled Mike Tyson in a corner and kept him there wailing away until his mgr jumped into the ring to deny him his biggest victory.

Fought a host of fighters afterward, but never the magnificence of that night with Tyson where he set PPV records.

If he actually had power he could have tko'd Tyson, he kept him against the ropes and was whaling away on him. Damn Tyson was weak in the clinch. A light breeze could push him back.

McNeeley had, if not grace, certainly more than the average allowance of heart. And that goes a long way in my book. Sure he was reaching for a record in fighting tomato cans, but he also had the sense of humor enough to make that Pizza Hut commercial.
