I saw Stephen Edwards make this claim in his Daily Bread column yesterday.
Do you agree or disagree?
I agree completely, saw what he did to blocker, Luis Garcia, then he just seemed to take it to another level,,,
Consider this: he had both technical ability to outduel Camacho and then the warrior spirit to go to war with Campas,,,
I saw that fight when I was about 15 and we were big Campas fans, it was just an amazing thing when you think about his run after that
I'm not a boxing historian, and I don't have a top 10 ATG welterweight list, however, I think most people would agree Trinidad holds a special spot in the welterweight division and matches pretty well head to head at both 147 & 154.
He was not top 10, if that is what you mean, but he probably would make top 20 in the division. Too wooden and stiff. He had excellent power. He was a big welterweight.

My first thought was no but actually he probably could just get in,
Robinson, leonard, armstrong, mayweather, manny, duran, napoles...then outside of those guys you have ross, britton, kid lewis, griffith etc...I think he belongs with those so could be 8-12 something like that.
If you count duran ofc as he was really lightweight but he won the title and beat leonard, has to be in there.
I love Tito, one of my all time favs, but WW is a deep division with a long history.
That said its ATG bs so anyone can say anything & within a certain reasonableness its sellable when its a guy who was among the best of his day so its not like its crazytown to say it like saying Charles Martin is a ATG HW.
