Jordan's buzzer beater off the arc.

    Since 2000:
    Ray Allen's Game Six 3-pointer.
Ohh.... Zidane's headbutt. Guaranteed on the list.

I know it doesn't come close, but RVP's "Flying Dutchman" in the 2014 World Cup was spectacular!
The hockey game gets my vote... that was as impossible as Dimaggio's record hitting in 55 straight games. I would say it would never happen again but my boys school University of Maryland in Baltimore county upset a team that they should not have been able to even compete with as a sede... So who knows!

I would probably side with that as well.

Cole Valley where I lived looked like Godzilla had run through, telephone poles upended, the liquor store had a flow of liquor coming out and into the gutter, I almost died in the fitness center in that one. I was putting these two women through a workout on the nautilus machines and when it started I ran them towards the exit, one of them panicked and went towards where the floor was caving in, I grabbed her and sort of threw her by her bra strap towards the exit, but then there I am and here come the mirrors off the wall...those big ass fitness mirrors! I dodged and ducked and just missed the floor caving in at my feet a second ago.

I a glad you were not on the freeway Z. The Cypress ave exit (bowes head in prayer for the deceased). That was a real piece of work, I had just been there for a year or so.
Those were crazy times. Very crazy. We've been through some major things in life. More to come....

Yeah, I was stranded and alone... Thank GOD I couldn't afford to take my girl with me... Fine Chinese/American woman... Anyway... I found a spot to sleep in.. Near hunters point SF and I was in shock... I walked a long ways from candlestick park and I didn't need no drama, so I chilled and curled up in some bushes.. When the morning came... I realized that I needed to take the long way home... Walked to San Mateo etc etc. got on a pay phone and called my ppl... End of story.... For me at least... I can't speack about what I think ppl felt when they died...

                Death is forever...

Peace homie... Too much info.... Forgive me.... I'm an old man.....

The greatest sports event of the 20th century was Secretariat winning the 1973 Belmont Stakes in 2:24 [2minutes and 24 seconds]. This is still the record on dirt for a 1.5 mile race--the time breaks down to an average of 24 seconds for each 1/4 mile run!!!!!!!

Speaking of half century, wasn't Jim Thorpe named the best athlete of the first half of the 20th century?
