    Tyson Fury

He's history for now, so not that many reasons not to discuss him on this section.
Enigmatic to say the least. Thought of him as a cumbersome
great lump who hit himself half a dozen years ago

Who will he prove wrong next? Doubt it'll ever be Ortiz or Browne as they're virtually history already, as is probably Fury himself

Therefore he'll only be remembered as another Leon Spinks
Which is a shame because boxing style wise, he's much reminiscent to a white 6'9'' version of his younger brother

    Anyone else agree?

Leon never had as much success or made as much money as Tyson.

I'm not sure I would compare him to Leon.

I think everything will be determined on how he comes back.

He looked a lot thinner in a recent photo. Let's see if he actually gets in there in April.

Not Leon, a massive version of Michael is who i'm comparing him too as they do share a very similar style in the ring...Herky jerky in & out lateral movement, is a trademark they have in common.
Tyson, as well as his uncle Peter are both big admirers of the jinx and what he achieved, and even used the videos of him beating Holmes as part of their preparations for Klitschko.

The reference to Neon Leon isn't a comparison., Just what i've seen written about him on social media, which of course, doesn't consist of too many knowledgeable boxing folk.. But unless the comeback is reasonably successful, he could easily fall into that rare category of one hit wonder world champions.
Hope he makes it, and it'll be an incredible bit of history if he does.. Insurmountable or not, gonna be very interesting.

I remember Neon Leon. Was a popular kids toy in the '80s.

One of the worst HW champions of all time. Big, lumbering, awkward and dull. He overcompensated for all that with trash talk and silly antics at press conferences. The Primo Carnera of the 21st century, and I would still put my money on Carnera to beat him.

I definitely don't see him as a Leon Spinks type figure....although if things go south from here on, then I could see an argument going that way.

I think I'm just sorta up in the air at Fury's place in boxing history right now. Once he starts getting back in the ring & winning or losing or a lil of both I think it'll be easier to define his standing. I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt & considering this a hiatus more than a career trajectory cuz he's still undefeated & got the most impressive one sided recent win over the biggest name in HW boxing for a decade & I was personally favoring him over Wilder & Joshua back when those fights seemed more realistic then they do at the moment.

Idk if he can reclaim that previous form. Idk that I'd favor him over Joshua or Wilder or some other cats even right now. That doesn't mean he won't get back to that place....but 2 years & counting is a long a$$ time to be outta the ring so this is gonna be some life is like a box of chocolates sh^t when he does fight again.

Wladimir Klitschko punched himself in the face aswell.

Difference is Tyson Fury schooled Wladimir Klitschko and took all his belts plus broke Wlads 10 year + unbeaten record, will and spirit and gave him a master class in talking-the-talk.
