Over Hagler's career he fought many punchers and never suffered one knockdown aside from the Rodan push.

Everyone can be hurt. But we just didn't see it with Hagler and his chin was tested many times.

I'd say maybe RJJ at 160. Other than that I'd be reluctant to pick anyone south of 160.

No middleweight in history KO's Hagler.

More pulling pigtails and throwing spitballs from Sonny, who now claims to pick Gene Fullmer to KO Hagler, a guy with a weak punch KOing one of the greatest chins in boxing history. Safely ignored.

A Bob Foster might, I say might KO Hagler. I don't see Robby KOing him because he could not stop little Basilio in thirty rounds and hit him with everything in the book multiple times. Hagler was a lot harder to fight than Basilio.

I do not see Jones KOing him because Jones would be afraid to try once he dicovered he was in a life and death battle. He would stand halfway across the ring from Marvin, every once in a while leaping in with a single punch. He will not even beat Hagler that way, let alone KO him.

McClellan could not even beat Benn, even if Benn had not butted him into a wheelchair for life. He was losing at the time. NO way he beats Hagler.

Fullmer, rough and great as he was, is likely to be stopped on cuts by Marvin, whose punches tore opoonents up. Let's see if he gets away with fifty rabbit punches in the clinches against Marvin. He will not.

sonnyboy lost his weeks pay betting on Minter against Hagler in 1980.

Why does everybody believe that James Toney was such a heavy puncher at Middleweight? Where does that come from?

Marvin was always in exceptional shape, well trained and in tune to everything that happens around him. Granite chin and it's a tough stoppage for any Middleweight in history.

I notice 4 of the 6 listed are Detroit fighters..... yeah, that's just how they roll in the D.

              Long Live Detroit Boxing!!!!!........

The only guys who have a chance are monzon and maybe Robinson.
Yeah sure hearns and mclellan hit hard but they fade. You need both. Monzon is pretty much the only one but I doubt it very highly.

Jones wouldn't be able to hurt hagler, I don't even see Jones beating him regardless of how good he was. Hagler was smart he wouldn't pull a toney and try and out box Jones. He would pressure him like he did hearns

Exactly, anyone can be knocked out. Although with haglers conditioning, chin and refusal to be beat it's highly highly unlikely

Marvin fought very tough fighters prior to the title and lost a few.He avenged these loses as well as the draw to Vito. He could occasionally look tight and lose points as he did against vito, duran and leonard but the only possible way he gets stopped is on cuts.
