Great picture, mate. a nice reminder that Tunney was all class. that's very easy to forget when you have loudmouth, trashy, rogues like Mayweather dominating the headlines. tunney was an intellectual man who led a life far different from most sportsmen.

    tunney's son here.

tunney was also on of the few prominent americans who stood up to clay in the 60's by putting him in his place. most were in fear of the politically correct backlash from hippies and ********. not tunney who sent this telegram to ali: "You have disgraced your title and the American flag and the principles for which it stands. Apologize for your unpatriotic remark or you'll be barred from the ring." you have to love this kind of classic straight shooting from gene tunney.

Not to be rude or disrespectufl/dismissive to any of the posters, i respect your opinions but if you did not say Mayweather as your hands down #1 you are either biased, don't like him, or don't know much about boxing. For those who will cry that he does not knock opponents out, i rebut with k.o. power is not a "skill" you can learn, if you have it you have it. But your boxing skills you can develop and improve on with practice. Mayweathers skill set is easily the best any of you have ever seen. Ever. Chime in with who the 2nd best is if you want but don't be ignorant towards the truth. In all the hate you have for him you have to admit at the least that he is the best "skill wise" we've ever seen. Don't mean he's the greatest or best ever. Just sayin.

Tunney's arguable. Another one that's one of the most skilled.

        It's a tough question.
Don't bother with that guy he's a racist former tomato can.

Both you and Gene Tunney can go kiss each others ass.

It's unfortunate that you have reacted to this personally. But the truth is that tunney went out on top with dignity. ali is a muted vegetable in a motorized wheelchair. Who would you rather be?

roy jones, a kinesthetic genius, with a highly creative arsenal of attacks

              most skilled

**** people always putting down this athletic monster, he knew perfectly how to move his body, not his fault the majority of people have no body awareness with no clue how to treat or manuever for leverage with their bodies

i've seen ray robinson and he's not that skilled, but those wide ass doubled/tripled left hooks are pretty terrifying

You're saying that there isn't enough footage to justify Charles, right? But now you're saying there is and you just don't agree?

There's no doubt in my mind that Charles one of the most skilled fighters I've seen and a lot of the footage on him is passed his prime.
You're trying to back me into a corner when the room is circular.

Point me to a fight where you considered him the greatest.
