The scoring of the Lewis vs Holyfield fights..

There is a big difference between me and you and that is, "i have seen Lewis fight live` on many occasions"... not the Holyfield fights. But on many other occasions... So i am in a better position to judge the guy, than what you are.. i have never denied Lewis seemed to be the unfortunate fighter in their first bout. Yet i feel Holyfield was more harshly treated in their second fight..my scoring was:

Lewis v Holyfield (1) 7-4-1 Lewis
Lewis v Holyfield (2) 7-3-2 Holyfield

i also agree with SugarJ.. Holyfield of 91/93 would have beat Lewis to a pulp.

I highly doubt that,Holyfield was smaller and not so defense minded and Lewis was more offensive then...Lewis's over hand right would have ended the fight by mid rounds....if Bowe can beat Holyfield 2x and stop him in one of those times..lewis would surley k.o him.

Lewis got poleaxed by McCall back then, he struggled with the likes of Tucker & Jackson (both bums) Lewis couldn't even KO Levi Billups, yet everyone else managed. So prime Holyfield of that period would put a serious "Beat Down" on Lewis, but then again maybe Lewis chin wouldn't hold up like it didn't with McCall and Lewis may go within 2rds. These are genuine questions which one has to ask oneself, it is no good glossing over a fighters weaknesses.

McCall hit much harder than 205/210 pound holyfield...I highly doubt lewis walks into a Holy fight careless.Holyfield wsas not in his prime then,he became much better overall in the mid 90's...you also forgot to mention cooper almost k.oing him and holmes at 43 taking him the distance in a very compertitve fight,it works both ways,the difference is Lewis the much better fighter vs smaller guys where holy always struggled,the Bowe fights show this,and bowe was not better than Lewis.This fight was done however and Lewis comfortably won both times,i don't really know how you can see a close enough fight to give it to holyfield.

McCall was a true HW power puncher at 220 plus ,Holyfield was not...Holyfield was not a better fighter in 93 than 96 he was not as developed or well balanced .Lewis had equal abilty plus superior jab /power ..Bowe could barely handle old Tony Tubbs ,he did terrible against long rangy fighters which why his camp declined a huge ppv against Ruddock before he fought Tyson..Without Holyfield on his resume ,Bowes record looks terrible.addressing the points was very simple.

He could certainly punch.

Ruddock never threw a single punch against Lewis in 2rds not one single punch. Golota was only a journeyman who had not beaten any fighter rated in the Top 50. Bowe looked shocking in his two fights with Golota and it was clear that he had slipped beyond all recognition. His speach was slurred and he looked a shell of his former self. Golota was also sedated due to a panic attack in his dressing room before the Lewis fight. Mike Tyson & Lamon Brewster also destroyed Golota in one round.

5/. Claiming a fighter was knocked down in sparring or beaten up in sparring is meaningless. Lennox Lewis was floored by John Ruiz in sparring, Lewis was also knocked cold by Lamon Brewster in sparring. Tyson was dropped by Greg Page in sparring.

6/. You claim Douglas was nearly 20lbs overweight vs Holyfield. But Mike Tyson was 20lbs overweight (career heaviest) and addicted to prescription anti-depressants, alcohol, ******* & cannabis when he fought Lennox Lewis, which is why they had to fight in Memphis Ten. due to Tyson failing drug tests.

Ruddock was not the old Ruddock but its nevertheless impressive k.o..You claimed or suggested Holyfield hit harder i gave you comparisons.Lewis fought Bowe in the olympics which is basically sparring so not sure how a young Lewis not knocking down Bowe means anything ?What does Tyson being overweight have to do with Holyfield k.oing out of shape Douglas ?Has nothing to do with Lewis punching power ,he simply took his time and picked Tyson apart..Brewster may or may have k.od Lewis ?Wheres your proof?McCall was Tysons sparring partner for a reason ,Holyfield was never a power puncher in the early 90's thats just a fact ,big differance between hurting someone with multiple shots and one shot ,comparing one punch power to Holyfield and Lewis isnt close.You're still trying to beef up Bowe ,the fact is Holyfield had trouble with a much bigger man and Lewis would be no different,with the exception of more power .

imo holyfields prime ended with the first Bowe fight. He sustained a pretty heavy beating and was never quite the same.
