The fight started and I was feeling pretty good. I was confident, my body felt good, my movement was fluid. I was pretty elusive, moving around, not throwing anything big, just boxing. Then Holyfield butted me again. It was obvious to anyone watching that Holyfields tactic was to wait for me to throw a punch and then burrow in with his head. So the head butts were no accidents, they were a strategy.

It got worse in the second round. I started winging some punches at Holyfield and he dove in again and, boom! A big gash opened up over my eye. I immediately turned to Mills Lane.

    He butted me!?br />
Lane didnt even say anything, but he ruled it an accident.

Now Holyfield started looking at the cut on top of my eye. He was charging at me with his head. He was taller than me, so what was his head doing underneath my head? I was getting frustrated.

When the third round began, I was furious. I was so anxious to start fighting that I left the corner without my mouthpiece, but Richie called me back and put it in. We started the round and I hit Holyfield with a couple of hard punches. The crowd started going crazy. They could feel that the fight had really shifted. And thats when he butted me again. I started feeling weary, like I was blacking out a little, but my anger and adrenaline jolted me back. I just wanted to kill him. Anybody watching could see that the head butts were so overt. I was furious, I was an undisciplined soldier and I lost my composure. So I bit him in the ear.

People think that I spit my mouthpiece out to bite him, but I didnt. From that point on, I dont remember too much because I was so enraged. When I looked at the tape, I must have spit the piece of his earlobe on the canvas because I was pointing to it. It was, like, Yeah, you take that.?They actually found that piece after the fight and tried to sew it back on but it didnt take.

Holyfield leapt up in the air in pain and then he turned to go to his corner, but I followed him and pushed him from behind. I wanted to kick him right in his groin, but I just pushed him. It was a street fight now. The doctor took a look at him and allowed him to continue and then Mills Lane took two points away from me, but in my mind, it didnt matter. They were all against me anyway. So the fight resumed and he butted me again. And the ref, of course, did nothing. So we clinched and I bit him again on the other ear, but we kept on fighting till the end of the round.

Then all hell broke loose. Holyfields corner complained to Mills Lane that I had bitten him again and Lane stopped the fight. I was too enraged to even hear the ring announcer say, Referee Mills Lane has disqualified Mike Tyson for biting Evander Holyfield on both of his ears.?

Holyfield was in his corner. He didnt want any part of this ****, but I was still trying to get a hand on him. I wanted to destroy everything and everybody in his corner. People were pulling me and blocking me and he was standing in his corner, huddled up.

Everyone was protecting him. He looked frightened. I was still trying to get at him. I had fifty people on me and I was still fighting the cops. Oh lord! They should have tased me. I vote for being tased that night.

Bobby Joe Young could definitely crack, and I think some of his comtemporaries avoided him. You're right, there are levels to this sport, but Aaron would be taking a huge risk, and in Young's case, loss if he fought him. I would even pick Pipino Cuevas, or Colin Jones to give Aaron fits.
D76, we don't know if Pryor would have struggled moving up in weight or not, he never moved up. Again, I think you have an overinflated opinion of BJY and I seriously doubt if any quality fighter avoided him. Take a look at his resume, he lost to every quality fighter he faced. Again I stand by my post, a prime non coked out Pryor > any version of BJY. I would favor Pryor over both Cuevas and especially Jones. I have some reservation with Cuevas because he could really **** but in my opinion, Pryor crushes Jones.

JTF, as far as BJY, can't be for certain, but possibly in the late 1981/early 1982 period, pretty sure Curry, or McCrory would have been wary of fighting him. You're right about him losing to every quality fighter, but Babs McCarthy and Darryl Anthony were pretty good fighters. I think Randy Shields may have given Aaron some problems as well. Shame we never got to see Aaron fight Howard Davis Jr, Hilmer Kenty, or Gato Gonzalez as well.

              "Unlucky" how is he unlucky?

Multi National Champion in the amateurs, defeated Kinty, Hearns
Davis and other top national competitors.
Went 39-1 with a 88% KO rate and was the Champion of the World!!!

He refused 750 grand for Leonard & Duran so that was his decision
nothing to do with bad luck, he didn't want them. Money was an excuse the kids he beat up in the amateurs were now grown up and bringing their own power to the ring as pros!

All of them could handle Prior then.
He was an exciting fighter but he caught Cervantes and Argeullo
late when they were not at their best.

He vs Duran was a great promo but I think Duran hits with ease and Priors wide shots won't effective against Duran.
              Still a great draw!!!

Lol no Larry Holmes might have been but I say Pryor Tko Macini.
Leonard would beat him in a 15 rd ud Pryor never been in their with a guy that fast and smart as as well as he never fought at that weight.
Duran late it would be a brutal and I mean BRUTAL WAR! But Pryor will not out brawl the greatest brawler of all time.

As Bolo stated, he was lucky the Florida state boxing commission botched the drug test after the 1st Arguello fight. And his career would have been longer without a drug fueled crash.

SRL wins decisively via points 144 - 141

Duran wins slightly more decisively by virtue of a knockdown. His superior defence and body work would be the difference here. 144 -140

Pryor beats the brakes off a courageous game Mancini in a mid to late round KO.

All three of these fights would be highly entertaining, the first two candidates for FOTY.
