Fighters who were way above their competition.

What were some fighters who were simply on another level compared to their competition? I don't mean they were in a weak division or era, I mean there were good fighters, but they were leaps and bounds above them.

    Roy Jones.

    Muhammad Ali.

Ali? He lost throughout his career, struggled in quite a few fights and met his match on numerous occasions. Very deep era, but not way above his comp at all. The best? Yes. Way above them? Absolutely not.

      I would say Ward.

      Also, I meant pre-exile Ali.

Joe Louis. He did get knocked down, but he kept his cool so well you never knew if he was really hurt.

        could say Jones Jr. too.
        Cassius Clay as well.
Foreman before he fought Ali was pretty dominant too.

When will people learn on this site.........Sugar Ray Robinson!!!! If its a positive discussion on boxing skills he's first on every level. Then you can argue who's second and third!!
          Ray.

Repped. Nobody could touch Finito in his prime.

Wilfredo Gomez at SBW for the majority of his career there.

Obvious one almost missed, Wladimir Klitschko.

I actually was considering saying Robinson, but i haven't seen too many of his fights so i wasn't sure if he's considered dominant in the ring.
