Some great names already mentioned. My list would include in no particular order:
Frazier
Dempsey
Patterson
Robinson
Tyson
Cuevas
Foster
Jones jnr (for speed & trebbling up etc Brannon, for one punch power Thornton or Griffin 2)
Morrison
Trinidad
jim murray sure was some sports writer- best left hooks- langford, white, dempsey, walker, davis, robinson, fernandez, frazier, saddler, olivares, foster, etc
I may get some slack and even Red K for this but surprised no one mentioned DLH. At his prime 92-01, he had that '45' which was somewhere between an uppercut and left hook and it was very solid. Once again, i expect to get trashed but DLH did have one of the best left hooks in the game.

throw in julian jackson, he had quality hooks, both hands. i know he just got beat but donaires left hook is still something to be admired. and i would rate sugar ray robinsons left hook higher than roy jones, maybe david tua pushes roy back to 3rd?
