Some great names already mentioned. My list would include in no particular order:

        Frazier
        Dempsey
        Patterson
        Robinson
        Tyson
        Cuevas
        Foster
Jones jnr (for speed & trebbling up etc Brannon, for one punch power Thornton or Griffin 2)
        Morrison
        Trinidad

Ernest Hemingway was wrote (and I'm paraphrasing a bit, I think); "A good left hook comes out of no where; you don't see it coming and next thing you know you're on the seat of your pants. By those rules, life has the greatest left hook, though some say it is Charlie White from Chicago."
          His record:
Bummy Davis was noted for his hook.
Olivares had a great hook. Tony Baltazar.
Jim Murray, the late, great LA Times sports columnist once wrote that having a great left hook in boxing is like putting well in golf...you never get your ass kicked as badly as you deserve.

That's a rock solid list. I would also add some names from further back like Louis, Dempsey, etc.

you learn something new every day:

check this boxrec newspaper note on of charlie white's fight.

In the sixth round Barrett swung at White so hard that he sprained his spine, resulting in temporary paralysis. Result from the Philadelphia Inquirer (Jack Kincaid).

              who knew?

I would like to point out that I have never seen Mr White fight...In his day, according to Mr Hemingway, he had one hell of a left hook. He did, I think, fight Benny leonard, arguably the greatest LW of all time and knock him down.
                Maybe thereby proving Murray's quote/
