    The speed of Julian Jackson

When talking about The Hawk, everybody naturally point at his enormous punching power. But what about his speed? The man possessed quite impressive footspeed for a puncher. One thing that always striked me watching him was how fast he was and even when he no longer was prime he still had very good footspeed. Like against G-Man. Thats one of the reasons he was able to last 5 rounds with him I think, at the time when G-Man made short work of all his opponents. I think thats also the reason why he was able to land that big ko punch on ultra-fast Terry Norris as well.
He had the size of a mw, but fought as a lmw first and this also has something to do with it, I mean it proves he had speed. Punchers of his size never fought at 154. Unless they were also fast.

Fastest hands: Jackson -- He was quick, man. That’s why he got so many knockouts. Everyone focused on his power and then he’d get you with a punch you didn’t see. They landed on you -- boom! -- from out of nowhere. Kalambay and Toney were also fast. So was Jones, obviously, but I fought him when I was older and had slowed down a bit.

The speed of delivery was definitely there for Julian Jackson. He didn't have quick footwork or defensive reflexes (partly due to his bad eyesight), but his punches were very explosive.

Obviously Mccallum knows what he's talking about having been in with em all but quick as Jackson was there is no way no how he was Jones like when it came to speed, The Body Snatcher might havebeen older and slower when He faced Roy but that didnt make Jones Jnr's speed any different, its there for all to see.
