I had never cared at all for his character and as I have said my favorite memories of Pazienza are getting destroyed by Roy Jones Jr. I think he is one of the hardest working guys in the sport and his level of determination is off the charts for him to be able to come back from his accident and work as hard as he did to be able to fight again.
I can recall several instances of him mocking other fighters, hitting well after the bell, knocking over refs to hit defenseless guys, etc. all of which are things that I do not respect in a fighter. It happens sometimes even with my favorites but he did it consistently and with no class.
HOF material is hard to say... I don't think he will get in, I certainly wouldn't vote for him, but you never know.

the roy beatdown was waaay overrated. paz was far far removed from his prime and was a sacrifice to make roy's crappy resume appear not as crappy.

I always liked Vinny and he could fight a bit but i dont think he's worthy of a place in the hall but there are worse fighters in there so who knows

Vinny has a feel good lifestory and his fights with Greg Haugen are legendary. HOF material? I don't think so. I don't think his acheivements warrants that but to be be fair lesser deserving people has made it.

Vinny at his best was only a soild B fighter, usually a C fighter. But you gotta respect him for getting a belt after breaking his neck in a car accident. He was tough as hell, pretty quick, good chin, not so great defense but the heart of a lion. To not put him in the IBHOF is a smack in the face. He still has 50+ wins I believe.
And the RJJ fight was a joke, he's like half the size of a RJJ and that was when RJJ was in his prime. The fight should have never happened.
