    Underrated Punchers?

Who are some guys who don't get the credit they deserve when it comes to all-around punching (speed/power/accuracy)?

I think that Floyd is really underrated as a power puncher. When he sits on his punches, they land. He's not Hearns by any stretch, but a lot of people think of him as feather fisted and he's not.

Conversely, who are some overrated punchers?

Whitaker always did more damage (especially downstairs) than he was credited with.

That would have been my choice as underrated puncher.

As far as overrated punchers Zab Judah, Ricardo Mayorga, and Sam Peter come to my mind.

              That was my under-rated puncher.

Don't know about Sam Peter, but Mayorga one-punched Vernon Forrest and Zab Judah had Cotto on ***** street every time he landed his left uppercut. I say that they earned their reputations. Hell, if anything, people underrate Judah as a puncher. Most people are enamored with his speed and forget about what a good left hand he has.

Ali, Leonard, Mayweather, Whitaker and Jack Johnson come to mind. JJ seemed to like playing with people, but the quickness with which he dispatched Ketchel after he was knocked down provides evidence of his potential.
