How would of Micky Walker done against dempsey?

Do you give walker a good chance of pulling of a upset?

This fight could go either way. They both had similar styles. I think the fight would be incredible, but I'd give it to Depmsey who had a higher KO ratio.

I think they had the same trainer didn't they?

I am a BIG fan of Mickey Walker as he was a friend of mine during his last years, BUT Dempsey would have stopped him the same way as Schmeling did, maybe even worse.

I met most of the Greatest boxers from Ali, Tyson, Holmes, Dempsey, Louis in fact I had the pleasure of introducing most of them as well.

I am in my 25th year as the President of the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame, as well as there Historian for over 30 years. I am also the President & Historian of the New Jersey Diamond Gloves for almost as long, I'm a Board member of Ring 8 and I ran a dinner in January where I introduced Holmes, Cooney, Griffith, Antuofermo, Mark Breland, Bert Sugar, Junior Jones, just to name a few. I am also the President of the New Jersey Association of USA Boxing, I'm an editor on BoxRec and I am also on the selection committee for the modern and old-timers category for the International Boxing Hall of Fame and I am also a charter member of the International Boxing Research Organization. I also ring announce most of the Amateur Boxing shows in New Jersey and also several pro shows in the Tri-State area. Oh yea, I am also the President of a Amateur baseball league and a Deacon in my Church.

I was the MC when we put up a monument of Joe Louis in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, where Louis trained and also the MC when they made a stamp of Rocky Marciano. Rocky's brother Lou, was a part owner of a gym that was named after Rocky in Jersey City, New Jersey and he asked me to run the show.

I might have forgot a few But I think you get the idea.

Credit where it's due, for a natural welterweight of only 5'7" he made the transition to the heavier weights very well indeed.. He lost a razor tight DC to Harry Greb at MW, won and lost against Maxie Rosenbloom, beat Mike McTigue and Paul Berlanbach at LH, and lost another cliff-hanger to Tommy Loughran..
At HW, he beat several good contenders including European champ: Paulino Uzcudun, and fought to a draw with a young Jack Sharkey but was KO'd by Max Schmeling..
He became known as the 'Toy Bulldog,' mainly due to his performances against bigger guys, but i can't help seeing Jack Dempsey as a fully grown 'Pitt-Bull,' in conparison..
As good as Walker was, i think he gets KO'd 'Carpentier style' in this one..

Walker is also, the only Welterweight Champion that was ever rated in the top 10 in the Heavyweight Division.

i knew dempseys and walkers trainer ted hayes. i never asked him that question but i imagine dempsey would have koed him pretty badly. walker always consisdered dempsey the best heavyweight ever and he never sparred with demsey because he walker , was not very keen to do so. probably would have been a war with walker on the canvas. walker- boy what a tough boxer puncher he ever was .
