Cage has a Oscar, which is the top of acting. So try another analogy.

It is quite astonishing that Nicolas Cage has an Oscar though really.

Don't get me wrong, I do like Nicolas Cage films, in a "he's a terrible actor" kind of way.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. Winky was one of my least favorite fighters. Very good, but he just had those lanky arms that allowed him to cover his whole self up and wait there.

I think Wright had the right body type and perfected a style that suited his long arms thick arms and short torso combined with his high guard and tucked chin to be very defensive. He was not stopped in 58 pro bouts

He was a very good junior middle weight. Not a good puncher and his style wasn't " fan friendly " but I like him and think he is a good boxing case study.

Chalk him up as defensive counter punching southpaw specialst and a good jabber.

This video sort of explains it

What title match are you talking about?

              .

My simile was dead-on. You are the one with a problem, junior. Who takes the Academy Awards as a serious measure of acting? You are starting to embarrass me, my son.

Bronco McCart, they fought like 3 times.

Bill Miller told Jackie to stay away from Wright, that he was all wrong for them.

                The history tells the rest.

When Bronco got DQ'd for busting Wright in his nadz, like 5 times, I don't recalll Bronco ever hitting me low nor do I remember it in any of his bouts.

                Bronco was a true professional..................Rockin'

I guess his aim was off that day.

There others I could mention, but it probably gets more controversial. Tom Cruise is transparently acting. He appears to be trying to act well. No naturalness. I catch a lot of flack for this next one. Yes, he is in great projects, but himself is a ham&egger. Anyone doubting this should watch the sequence in the Capone movie where Capone is swaggering down the stairs of the courthouse, surrounded by followers and reporters. Poor Costner is ridiculous in the scene. He was playing with terrific actors like Deniro and Connery. The man is worth 200-300 million dollars. But that does not mean he can act. I have seen him in a lot of movies I liked, but it wasn't because of him. He doesn't always ruin it. They can't all be ATG's in boxing either. Morgan Freeman and Robert Duval level is rare.
