    Where Great Fighters Came From

    Joe Louis- Chambers County, Alabama.
    Sugar Ray Robinson- Ailey, Georgia
    Joe Frazier- Beaufort, South Carolina
Jake Lamotta- Lower East Side New York/ The Bronx
    Harry Greb- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
    Henry Armstrong- Columbus, Mississippi

It's kind of surprising where some of these guys came from.

It starts to make more sense when you see where they were actually raised and grew up... Mostly big cities. Patterson was another from Georgia somewhere, but who was brought up and raised in Brooklyn.

Cities have always had resources, including for misspent youth who liked to tussle.

I was going to post but forgot: Your posting pic of Usyk, have you seen a pic of him recently in beast mode? Lol. I cannot post the link cause its from a rival site lol... But Usyk really looks menacing. He looks ready for business.

Yeah I've seen him. He's going to be awesome against AJ. Pulling for him although it's gonna be tough. I'd love it if he won though and ended up facing Fury. The prefight antics would be worth paying for. Haha.

I tell ya. My head says Joshua based on Usyk's track record fighting heavies recently, but in my heart would love to see the old Usyk with head movement, angles, etc. I like the guy, hes a riot and as a cruiser I would put on a top 10 ATG list.

New York was always the biggest city. They had somany great gyms and trainers. So it makes sense... You had other great figting cities of course, like Philly, Pittsburgh, Detroit...But NYC was just so big.

Now it seems California has the edge.

Jack Johnson 19th century Galveston not so far removed from Jean Lafitte days and Big George from Marshall, Texas 30 min from Shreveport, Louisiana...

Dempsey from Manassas, Colorado in the middle of Indian territories where the community built a museum I'd like to see...

It's hard to knock Nova Scotia when they have produced the likes of Hafey and Langford. You know what I'm sane.
