Probably because he didn't stop anybody aside from a past prime Ruddock.

Both stopped similar level of opposition but Ruddock did it more impressively (watch his KO's of Dokes and Smith).

Morrison made Thomas quit in one round and stopped Williams on his feet.

But Morrison ko'd the better fighter in ruddock even if he was past his pime. Dokes was also past his prime!

well that's talking about opposition and it's different. surely the better quality your ko victim is, the more it pays compliments to your power. BUT you mean to tell me that because Tommy lost to the best guys of that particular generation and knocked out only lesser opponents he doesnt deserve to be on that list?

I consider George Foreman probably the hardest hitting heavyweight ever, harder puncher than Shavers. But if judging the way you put it, then who did he ever knockout worth mentioning, aside from a semi shot, unmotivated Frazier with suspect chin, and Ken Norton who was Ko'd 3 other times by the time his career was over.

I could also pick out a dozen guys on that list who didnt really need to be there.

Tommy deserves to be on that list, without question.

then take Holyfield off your top 10 list

roids had nothing to do with his left hand, just like roids didnt make Toney a better heavyweight than he already was.

But the Ring Magazine picked the fighters based on a particular criteria (impressive KO's against impressive opposition), not necessarily on pure power.

Morrison has solid wins such as Foreman, Ruddock, Thomas, Williams, Hipps but he did not KO them as brutally as Ruddock did his opposition.

KO'ing Frazier (who certainly did not have a suspect chin) and Norton is a bit different from KO'ing the likes of Thomas, Williams, Hipps. What matters as well is the manner in which they were KO'd.

                  Morrison's best KO

Ruddock KO Dokes 0:30 Ruddock KO Smith 1:55

I myself rate Morrison's hook as one of the best left hooks in the heavyweight division but I can see why he is not rated as one of the greatest punchers of all time. He was one of the hardest hitters without a doubt.

Then they can put another great left hooker Gerry Cooney out. I understand knocking Lyle out of the ring and brutalizing Norton inside a round is impressive, but if he's in, Morrison needs to be in.

As far as Frazier's chin goes, maybe not a suspect but not great either. I say solid. He was knocked down by Bonavena twice, wobbled by Quarry, He was a little shook by Manuel Ramos. In any case, i defended Joe when people said he had glass after watching the Foreman fight. Being hurt by Quarry and Bonavena shouldnt fault him too much, guys had nuclear weapons inside leather gloves.
