There were a few great 15 round fights before it was dissolved. Orlando Canizales 15 round stoppage of Kelvin Seabrooks and Jorge Paez's thrilling 15 round decision over Calvin Grove both happened in 1988. Also. Simon Brown's 14 round kayo of Tyrone trice in 88 is considered one of the great welterweight title fights of its era.

On a related note, Poet, do you think boxing lost something when they abolished the 15 rounds for title fights? I believe 15 rounds was the ultimate distance for a world title fight
