    Boxer or Slugger?

Which style do you prefer? I don't have a favorite I lean towards myself. I can just as soon watch a master boxer like Luis Rodriquez or a slugger like Ray Mancini. I can admire both styles myself, but I imagine the slugger is more popular.

Depends what mood I'm in I guess. Sometimes I like seeing two guys (sluggers) go to war in a slugfest taking each others heads off, but on other days I like to see a boxing masterclass.

I find the sluggers more entertaining but I admire the guys who put in the time to learn the sweet science.

I like both styles equally, but if I had to choose I'd choose the boxer, becuase to me that shows true boxing skills, it's always nice to see a hard 1-2 combo to the head.

Both. It depends on the fighter.

some guys can do both, like duran, hagler, or chavez.

But a lot of sluggers or brawlers show true skills too.

It takes a lot of skill to come forward, slip punches, and then attack.

I'm not counting out sluggers in anyway, I'm just sayin boxers have the best skills of the two styles. sluggers have alot skills and your right, it does take alot of skill to come foward, slip punches and then attack. IMO guys like Frazier and Tyson (prime) had the best skills a slugger could have, and they used the style of slipping punches and attacking well.

Nothing personal, Ceboxer, but I've always kinda found humour in how Tyson's name is so, so often accompanied by the word & disclaimer of "prime", whereas that word is very rarely ever used when people type out the names of other fighters on here (or on boxing sites elsewhere).

I'm just giving an example of when Tyson was at his best.
