Japan's Akira Yaegashi (20-3, 10 KOs), the flyweight champion of the World Boxing Council champion, isn't taking anything for granted in his preparations to fight Nicaraguan slugger Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez, on September 5th at the Yoyogi 2 Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. 

Yaegashi conquered the title by defeating his compatriot southpaw Toshiyuki Igarashi, former Athens 2004 Olympic fighter, also recognized as  "Rookie of the Year 2012" by the Japanese Boxing Commission.

Akira says Roman (39-0, 33KOs) is a tough opponent, but he stills has no doubt about getting the victory. Yaegashi's last defense was on April 6th of this year, he convincingly retained the title by knocking out Mexican Odilon Zaleta.

"I know perfectly well the difficulty involved with Gonzalez, but I am confident in my ability and the training that we've had, to beat him and retain my crown. It is a very tough fight, but I can win," the champion said.
