Oscar De La Hoya has announced the five fights he would like to make if his Golden Boy Promotions stable lock horns with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing in a 5 x 5 event.

The first 5 x 5 bill took place in Saudi Arabia in June, with Frank Warren’s Queensberry stable dismantling Hearn’s boxers for a 5-0 rout.

Hearn this week was asked what fights he would make if Matchroom and Golden Boy worked together on a similar event.

However, on his social media Clap Back Thursday segment, De La Hoya today made a few alterations to Hearn’s slate, proposing that Vergil Ortiz would fight Jaron “Boots” Ennis, Jaime Munguia and Diego Pacheco would fight at super middleweight, William Zepeda and Shakur Stevenson would fight and that Oscar Duarte would fight Devin Haney.

De La Hoya rounded out his selections suggesting the winner of next week’s Jose Ramirez-Arnold Barboza clash in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, would be ready to face Jack Catterall, who two weeks ago defeated Regis Prograis in Manchester.
