Former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek (49-4, 29 KOs), 37-years-old, is potentially going to retire, after losing a clear ten round unanimous decision last Saturday night to Polish heavyweight rival Artur Szpilka. It was the second consecutive defeat for Adamek, who was beaten over twelve rounds earlier this year by Czar Glazkov.

Adamek admits that his skills have declined and he is no longer the fighter he once was. Adamek dominated most opponents at 175 and 200-pounds, but had a tougher time once moving up to the heavyweight ranks against much bigger and stronger opponents.

"You have to know how to lose with class. It's a sport that I've done, but probably it's time to walk away," Adamek said. "Everyone's time is coming and apparently [now] it's mine. It's time to give space to the younger guys, time flies inexorably. I do not shine anymore as I did in the past, so I will not make an idiot of myself. I have a wife, kids, that I have to live for. Perhaps it was my last fight."
