Tim Bradley (30-0) has seen his career take a dramatic turn for the better since hitting a low point following his controversial points victory over Manny Pacquiao. Bradley was shunned by many boxing fans and revealed that he had even received death threats after the fight. With his gut check performance on March 16th in his victory over Ruslan Provodnikov, Bradley has earned the admiration and respect of many fans.
During a recent interview on BoxingScene Radio, Bradley admitted to us that he didn't follow his trainer Joel Diaz's game plan. He said that he and his trainer are still on good terms and talk all of the time.
"I'm happy that the fans got to see a different side of me. I'm glad that the fans were entertained. I think this will make the fans have the confidence where they will want to see me fight. My trainer respects me and I respect him. I should have listened to him but then again maybe we wouldn't have had a great a fight for the fans and for TV. I believe things happen for a reason," Bradley admitted.
The Palm Springs, CA native has given a lot of credit to his opponent for his performance. Bradley has been mentioned as a possible opponent for 4-division champion Juan Manuel Marquez and fights against the Brandon Rios-Mike Alvarado winner and rematch against Manny Pacquiao have also been mentioned as possibilities for Bradley.
"I am being mentioned for these fights because of Provodnikov so I have to give credit where credit is due. All of this is being said because he brought the best out of me," Bradley told us on BoxingScene Radio.
Bradley refused to call out any opponents and said that he is willing to take on all comers. After his performance against Provodnikov it shouldn't be hard for him to any of the previously mentioned fights.
"I've fought the superstars. At this point it doesn't really matter. I'm not here choosing and picking. People want to fight me. They want my spot. I'm not going to run or hide. If they want some of this and it makes sense then let's do it," said Bradley.
