Royal Albert Hall, Kensington, London - Billy Joe Saunders (13-0, 9KOs) destroyed Tony Hill (8-3, 4KOs) in the first round to capture the vacant Comminwealth middleweight title. Saunders caught Hill cold with a crushing right hand and then battered him against the ropes with pure assault of punches until the referee jumped in.

Super middleweight prospect Frank Buglioni (4-0, 3KOs) stopped late-sub Daniel Borisov (6-6) in the first round after scoring three knockdowns.

In a British junior middleweight eliminator, Sam Webb (18-2, 5KOs) boxed his way to a twelve round split decision over Matthew Hall (24-5, 16KOs). The scores were 115-114 Webb, 117-112 for Hall, 116-112 for Webb.

Hall was very aggressive from the very first round, coming forward and throwing non-stop power punches. By the seventh round, Webb's defense and rapid movements were taking over as Hall slowed down and lost the pop on his shots. In another weird happening, Hall's corner we under the belief the fight was scheduled for ten rounds and thought the fight was over after ten bells, and then they were informed that two more rounds were left.

Junior welterweight prospect Bradley Saunders (2-0, 2KOs) stopped Danny Dontchev (4-45, 1KO) in one round. Dontchev went down twice in the first round and wouldn't come out for the second. His ear was possibly busted in the first round. 

In a battle between two welterweight prospects, Terry Holmes (6-0, 1KO) pulled off a minor upset with an eight round decision over Dean Byrne (15-2, 6KOs). The card had some very weird moments. At one moment Byrne was being battered in the fifth round and his corner threw in the towel and his corner started to enter the ring, but the referee kicked the towel out and allowed the fight to continue. The sole score, by the referee, was 67-65 for Holmes and that doesn't make sense because the fight was eight rounds.
